There are many scriptures that tell us that Jesus is God. I will give you some from John. I am sure others will give you more that you can use as well.

    John 1:1-14 (ESV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him.
8 He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.
9 The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him.
11 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him.
12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,
13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Notice vs. 1 tells us the Word was God, then vs. 14 tells us the Word became flesh, the only Son from the Father. That has to be Jesus, does it not?

    We can't.

IMO that's what faith is all about.

The Godhead (Trinity - Father, Son, Holy Ghost) was there from the beginning. Before Genesis 1:1

The OT is filled with examples of God proving His existence to His chosen people and to those around them. Providing proof to an unbelieving people and paving the way for His sacrifice to atone for those who believe (have faith) in Him.

    Exodus 14: KJB
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

When Jesus came He had to prove, again to an unbelieving people, that He was God. His words, as recorded in the scriptures, wasn't enough. Thus, the need for "proofs" that He gave over and over again. Feeding the multitudes, turning water into wine, making the lame walk are a few examples of those proofs. To prove that He was God in the flesh walking among the people.

    John 14: KJB
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

When the fleshly body of our Triune God died on the cross, the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom, giving people, once again, direct access to Him through Christ. When Jesus rose from the grave, He demonstrated the ultimate proof by overcoming death, itself, that He was God the Son. HE WAS (IS) GOD!

Before returning to Heaven, He enabled the apostles with the ability to offer further proofs during the remainder of their ministries. He empowered them with the Holy Spirit (Ghost) just as He does each of us when we choose to believe.

The "proof" that Jesus is God is within our own hearts, confirmed by the presence of the Holy Spirit. The only physical proof that we can offer to others are the scriptures themselves which record His words and deeds. The only intangible proof that we can offer to others is the fruit we bear in our lives.

    Hebrews 11: KJB
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

    1 Peter 7: KJB
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

I respectively beg to differ that you can not know that Jesus is God. The verse you gave in Hebrews says that faith is the evidence of things not seen. That word evidence means proof or conviction. The Holy Spirit convicts us and we can know that Jesus is God. Faith has been misinterpreted too many times to be a "hope so" kind of thing, or just blindly believing without any proof.

I think the most convincing verse is John 8:58.

And I respectfully submit that I suspect we're talking about two different things. There's a big difference, IMO, between a born-again person KNOWING that Jesus is God and being able to offer proof of that to someone else, who has not reached that understanding, for whatever reason.

The question was "How will I prove the Jesus is God."

    Summary answer from post above.
"The "proof" that Jesus is God is within our own hearts, confirmed by the presence of the Holy Spirit. The only physical proof that we can offer to others are the scriptures themselves which record His words and deeds. The only intangible proof that we can offer to others is the fruit we bear in our lives."

BTW & FWIW, I have no doubt that "faith" has been misrepresented too many times. Just as I'm sure that everything else in the scriptures has been misrepresented too many times, too. :tear:

No, we are talking about the same thing. Saved people already believe that Jesus is God, so the OP is probably for a person caught up in a false religion, like JW, that believe in a Jesus, but not as God. So, scriptures are the only way, and God has to give the increase as always. BTW, he didn't ask how to physically prove how Jesus is God, if I read right.

The Jews knew exactly what Jesus was claiming, as evidenced by their reaction in the very next verse.

Romans 1:20 suggests that the evidence of creation makes man without excuse.

If one will look at the created universe, and at human beings themselves, he will find evidence.

For instance,we can calculate to the second the beginning of the seasons for as far into the future as you can go. We can calculate to the second the moment the sun will rise above the horizon at any location in the world.

In short, the existence of all those laws of nature and the universe give strong evidence of a Lawgiver. They didn't just emerge out of chaos or by chance.

One may not consider these things as definite proof of God, but he cannot say there is no evidence.

How do we prove anything. All we do is present the evidence, the receiver decides whether the premise has been proved to his or her satisfaction. We can present evidence from scripture that John professed that Jesus was God, as pointed out in post #2. We can point out that all the verses that say Jesus is the Son of God profess that Jesus is God, just as when we say we are of human origin we are professing we are human.

On the other hand, Adam was the son of God too, but not the one of a kind Son.

In summary, John 1:1-14, tells us. Hebrews 1:8-12 tells us. Immanuel means God with us. Colossians 2:9 also presents the truth that Jesus is God.

Very true Van. It's amazing how the very thing that amazes your heart when you see it doesn't mean anything to someone else. The best evidence still can fall flat in a heart that just refuses Christ.

I also liked where jesus told the paralized man that his sins were forgiven, they knew only God can forgive sins, so jesus went and did a divine healing also to show that he was God in the flesh! Pouring salt on open wound!

    Maybe an interesting thought.

Did this one of a kind Son, come forth from the helper, taken from the son of God, Adam?

BTW no point just a thought.

Does it matter if Jesus is not God according to other groups saying he is only one of the prophet?

He who denies the Son does NOT have the Father!

If jesus was not Godm his death mean nothing, and we are all still in our sins and condemned!
