    Please keep our family in prayer. We are losing a family member tomorrow. The kids are taking it extremely hard :tear:

    pray for comfort for little Sadie during the procedure, and for me while being there with her. I'm numb right now.

    You have my sympathy and empathy, been there done that on more than one occasion. We have five, three are rescues from the pound. Myna the Spitz and matriarch is 16 now and I'm keeping a close eye on her, not expecting her to make it through this winter. But she's lived a good and happy life here. I'm sure your Sadie has too.

    I am really sorry Web. Our little four footed friends really are members of the family. I know what you are going through, having gone through this a number of times myself. I am sorry for the kids.

    You have my sympathy Web....I. have one too that is close. This isn't the time to discuss this but my wife & I are into dog & horse rescue....particularly English bull dog's ...there are so many abused and in need of a good home. We can talk.

    These pets become such a part of the family that it is SO difficult to say "good-bye" to them. But know that you are doing the right thing. It's her time. Even though you are a tough guy, allow yourself the time to cry. It's totally normal and a sign that you have a loving heart. ((HUGS))

    It hurt something awful. So sorry to learn of this. Our "dog-ter" is our baby so we understand. :-(

    Thank you all for the prayer and kind words. She came down with IHA (auto immune disease) 2 years ago and has been slowly going downhill since then. The medication has taken a toll, and now her little kidney's can't take it any more. The sad thing is her breed (Cairn Terrier) has an average lifespan of 12 - 15 years, and she's only 10. I thought this day was going to be a lot further out than it is. The kids are much better today, but we take her in this evening, so I'm sure it will get hard again for them. Kept them home from school today to spend together.

    Its heart breaking. Big pet fan here, they are part of the family, don't get too hung up though. Sure you will bring a new pup home soon. :) Kids will be happy again. We all go through sorrow.

    Oh dear! That is so rough! Losing a family pet is so hard to handle...Yes, we will pray for you and your entire family!! What a great family who has a tender, loving of their pets!
    Lord, Comfort each member of Web and Web at this time of losing a pet who has been a part of their family. We know that You care and will answer prayer. In the name of Jesus. Amen

    Thanks again everyone. She is no longer in pain and in the hands of our Lord, whether that means I see her again or not, He knows what is perfect and right. I kind of believe I will.

    Kids are doing OK. It even got my 4 year old to understand death and separation. She told me she asked Jesus into her heart last night, and even though I'm not sure she fully understands what that means, it is encouraging to know her little heart is open to the Gospel right now! Maybe she does...we will see in time.

    You guys are great!
