    Here It Comes....!

Just one more piece of the "One World Church" puzzle falling into place. By the way...this guy and his organization sure DON'T represent me or my fellowship of Baptist believers!

But just think of the value of the cultural exchange, fried chicken pot lucks outside of confessional booths.

Don't be too hard on Dr. George. There is absolutely no danger that he'll be advocating union with the RCC. And he's representing the BWA, not the SBC.

BTW, the Southern Baptist Convention severed ties with the Baptist World Alliance back in 2004.

    Yes but......

I would be willing to agree that his intentions are probably honorable in the strictest sense...yet misguided. Baptists who truly believe what the Bible teaches about the matter of seperation would know better than to even appear to "engage" in any kind of agreeable "dialog" with the Catholic church since it is a false religion. I would say that the admonition of 1 Thessalonians 5:22 to "abstain from all appearance of evil" would definitely apply here as well as Ephesians 5:11 where it says we should "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." Finally....I would be willing to bet that even if Dr.George doesn't go there and offer a wholesale endorsement of the activities of the "Conclave", their (the Vaticans) purpose will be served just with his presence there as they will be able to "spin" it as a demonstration of the "spirit of cooperation" of the "baptists" of the world. It is probably all about bragging rights to the vatican.....in my opinion. I'm not against Catholics as individuals....I have great compassion for them and their great spiritual needs....but I oppose their satanically inspired religion as it enslaves multiplied millions of souls to a works-based false religion. Very sad. Dr. George and the BWA have been duped and should be reproved for their compromise and the damage it does to the cause of Christ and the Gospel of grace.

Most reasonable scholars and ministry professionals have given Dr George the respect he deserves. He is a first rate theologian and will represent Baptists well.

I'm not so worried about a "one world church" since we've never had that. However, I am deeply interested in partnering with fellow Christiand from other denominations to advance the Gospel.

    Fellow Christians???

The Vatican and the Catholic Church which it represents is NOT a Christian denomination...it is a FALSE CHURCH which teaches more pure HERESY than just about any other religious organization in this world. They teach a works based "religion" that is a false Gospel. They simply must be rejected ans withstood vigorously by ALL true Bible-Believing Christians. Dr. George is wrong and DESERVES no respect for his compromise and that of the BWA. I mean no disrespect to anybody that deserves it....BUT...it is ALWAYS better to obey and honor God and His word rather than man.

You don't "advance" the Gospel by partnering with a false church that doesn't preach a true gospel....and the "Pope" is NOT the "vicar" of Christ to this world.

For the record...I'm not "anti-catholics"....I'm anti-false gospel and anti-Satanic religion.
