Depends on how connected to reality the person being asked is.

Beam me up scotty! Oh...I see you are from Detroit....well if you go outside watch out for the Islamic Jihad's "religion of peace" there....I heard there is a lot of that there too (or have I been mis-informed?)

    1.) Big foot......NO

2.) Loch Ness....absolutely (and I think it is a legitimately surviving reptilian sea-monster on the order of the Pleiseosaur type....Seriously, I actually buy this one. I also think that the story of the H.M.S. Daedalus recounts a true tale of various "sea-monsters" along the same "genus" that I think are probably very real and most likely quite alive today.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Daedalus_(1826)

3.) Mokele Mbembe: For similar reasons...I buy the plausibility of this one...only slightly less convincingly as Loch Ness: http://www.mokelembembe.com/

3.) Chupacabra.....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chupacabra Yes, only on account of, no matter how ridiculous, it's entirely too kewl to give up belief in this one!!!http://www.google.com/imgres?hl=en&...w=234&start=0&ndsp=8&ved=1t:429,r:6,s:0,i:107 But, seriously, no Such luck on Chupacabra or "Big-foot"...."Big-foot" only makes sense given am Evolutionary cosmology.....and chupacabra...is simply...Sci-fi. But, isn't it fun to believe in the Chupa!!!!

Point: Given an adherence to a "Canopy Theory"....I hold to this: then something like the Loch Ness or the Mokele Mbembe is perfectly believable, and even probable.....I think it depends on the amount of stock one puts into the "Canopy Theory"...I put a lot of stock into it because my understanding of Scripture seems to teach it quite clearly.

Bigfoot is a superhero that stomps all over the world to stamp out evil with his giant foot. Sometimes he conserves his energy when crossing oceans by calling "Nessssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeee!" and the Loch Ness monster appears and he mounts its back and they fly together just under the surface, occasionally making a leap up for air like dolphins. Once they had to take a little vacation together because their path was under the North Pole and they came up in the form of an igloo and had to wait out the season to thaw. Nevertheless, they rank as noble heroes.

Now, turn comic book to next page.

Actually, I think Yeshua asked a legitimate question and we can have a good debate over it if we get some more serious responses here. I DO believe there are such things as bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster, and I think as Christians, we SHOULD examine these thoughtfully in light of our beliefs in creation.

There are many unknown species of life still being "discovered" by modern scientists. Every year more plants, insects, and animals are found that we didn't know existed, or thought were extinct.

I believe bigfoot is a species of ape (gigantopithecus) and the Loch Ness Monster is a plesiosaur.

    OK...fine...!

OK...that's fine ABC...but I think the reason many of us go into the "making fun of" mode on this kind of stuff is because most of what we see and hear about subjects like these comes from sources like the "National Enquirer" or the SciFi Channel on TV. It is usually NOT commented on by sources that try to advance serious "science" as far as I know. That said....It is also hard for me to get serious about stuff like this when we are all surrounded by multiplied thousands and indeed millions of people who are in a headlong rush into the Lake of Fire. We are far too easily diverted from the ONLY real reason that God left us here after he saved us....and that is to do all we can to spread the seed of the Gospel through the Word of God to as many as we possibly can and seek, if possible...and by the grace of God, to win as many as we can to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ before it is eternally TOO LATE. There really isn't much "profit" in an speculation about Bigfoot or the Loch Ness monster. If they are real...so what? They are in my mind, just another diversion to keep our minds and those of the lost world OFF of the truth that really matters.....in my opinion!

Bro. Greg, I understand your point, but here's another way to look at it.

Satan WANTS people to believe the theory of evolution, to believe we all just happened by chance instead of by God's intelligent design. Of COURSE the world will make fun of any legitimate attempts to find what they believe died out millions and millions of years ago. Can you imagine what it would do to their theory if we found that dinosaurs do still exist?

There are Christian scientists who have made discoveries, only to be laughed at and mocked by the media and the ungodly. These anti-God folks do not want "evidence" of a divine creator and they will do everything to downplay any attempt or any evidence found that disproves their theory.

The Bible tells us that creation points to God. Those who study true science know that all we see is not a product of chance. This is a way to help win the lost, by showing them, through creation, who God is. It doesn't need to distract from the great commission.

There's another point that should be brought up, but first, your point.

That's an example that came to mind. IMO, there are many mysteries of God's Creation yet to be revealed.
Fairly frequently new species of various types of fish, birds, insects, and even small animals are discovered in remote areas of the earth. However, most of these discoveries go un-noticed by the secular world. Or, they are considered to be more of "evolution" at work. The Coelacanths in the first reference is the equivalent of finding a living dinosaur, yet it went un-noticed by the world at large.

Bigfoot, Lock Ness, Yeti, and others, if proved to exist, would still point to evolution according to those pushing satan's agenda. Plus with the track record of various hoax and proven false sightings, few would believe the proof. "Man hasn't walked on the moon. That was just a movie set."

Personal opinion, while possible, I doubt that these exist. Especially the Lock Ness Monster. From what I've read on the research being done, this falls in the realm of crop-circles. The most famous photos of Nessie have all been proven to be either fake or mistaken identification. At least that's what I understand, today.

Another item that fits within this discussion is Area 51 and the alien spaceship story. Whatever did or didn't happen there, it's still big business, in the tourist trade. Just as I believe it to be for Lock Ness. If actual proof is found, the spin on it will be to support lucretive activities, IMO. If there's no more money to be made or the potential for loss of revenue, God will be left out of the picture.

In closing, one final thought, if you don't mind.

    Romans 10:17 KJB
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Many didn't believe when our Saviour walked on this earth. When they saw Him face to face. When they saw the wonderous things He did to prove He was God. IMO, discovery of a fabled creature isn't likely to change that. :tear:

Seriously, don't we all have better things to do than debate the existence of spurious characters?

Oh wait a minute, this is an election year- that explains it.
