I am taking Romney at his word that he is pro-life, otherwise, I would not vote for him.

As with other topics which Romney do we believe? Can we believe anything he says?

Not sure why liberals have a hard time understanding this but those comments are not in conflict with a pro life stance. I don't know maybe it is a reading comprehension problem or just wishful thinking. But if NARAL has issues with him then that says it all.

So it is fine to say "I am pro life, but if elected president will do nothing about it." ?

He did not say that. That does not even come close to the qquote you listed.

I disagree. The quote below says that, not in the same words, but the meaning is the same.

Mitt Romney said he has no plans to introduce legislation restricting abortion if elected US president, as he scrambles to soften earlier hardline views that could estrange women voters in November.
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...-abortion.html

Also he is on record as supporting as law Roe v. Wade

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9IJUkYUbvI

He is on record as supporting a woman's right to choose:

You really do not know which Romney you are supporting as he changes his position depending on the group he is speaking to.

It seems that Crabby does not know how our Federal government works.

The President does not "introduce legislation".

Nice try at a smoke screen ... by the way, the only reason I saw what "T" wrote is you quoted him. I have him on ignore as ....... best not said.

Anyway, we are not talking about a president proposing legislation. We are talking about Romney flip-flopping depending on who he is talking to. The only way we would really know what he believes is when he is talking to someone or a group in private .... like his 47% comment.

Publicly we really have no idea what he believes as he keeps saying different things.

You are far more kind than I and you give Crabby far more credit than his participation here merits.
