    Yes, God is amazing. No doubt about it, as we have witness of that with every sunrise.

    However, there is much room for doubt in this video of what actually happened.

    The Pharisees and scribes doubted constantly too. And when they saw someone healed, they could not rejoice either, jealousy and envy ruled them too.

    To confirm the message of the Gospel, I believe God can and will raise the dead now as in the first century where superstition and idolatry are rife and the Word of God is scarce or so irreparably corrupted (as through rabbinic tradition) as to have any meaning.

    Whether this video is showing something real or fraudulent I can't say, but I believe things like this will happen.

    Where did Oldtimer claim or insinuate jealousy and/or envy? Those are your words, brother, not his.

    It's youtube, brother. YOUTUBE. There is vast place for doubt. Are you aware of just how gullible the masses are by believing things just because it's on youtube? How easily videos - containing the truth or not - can sway the masses.

    Of course can raise people from the dead! No one has said He couldn't or doesn't.

    I didn't even click on the video because it IS youtube.

    Now, if someone trustworthy that I knew had personal eyewitness to this and told me, I would believe.

    But to assert that people here don't believe an internet video that's among millions of videos that are for entertainment purposes only and their unbelief comes because they are akin to Pharisees and are jealous and envious is out of line, brother.

    You know Bill, oftentimes I disagree with you but this time, you hit it out of the park. TOTALLY agree with you here. Once I'm standing in the presence of the King, I really doubt I'd want to be back here in this world.

    No, PnS I'm not jealous nor do I envy those with gifts that are different from mine. Thou shalt not covet also applies, IMO, to what God does through others. Instead, I'm blessed when in some small way I can bring glory to His name.

    Next, as Aaron mentioned, I too believe that God can raise a man from the dead today as He has done in the past. There is no reason for me to assume there's any limit to His power, as you seem to imply, in my walk of faith with our Saviour.

    Finally, I do question/doubt the truth of the video. No I don't doubt that the man is passed out, as I'm assuming the video isn't a complete fake, as is done so often the case. It appears there are no professionally trained parametics or doctors on hand. If you'll notice, the second man doing chest compressions has to be corrected by a nearby woman.

    I've seen a drunk passed out that seemed to be much like the conditon of this man. It was in a private home. A neighbor /nurse was called to verify the person was simply passed out rather than being something more serious. She confirmed a heartbeat, faint pulse, and shallow breathing. After a period of time, he began to move, just as is shown in the video, as he came to.

    Except for the CPR and the prayer, a video of this man would have nearly identical. God didn't call this man home and then return him to his earthly body. Thus, my doubt/question about the man in the video link.

    As these links illustrate, people can be pronounced dead by professionals, when they aren't.

    As noted in the scriptures, God wasn't in a hurry. Lazerous was dead for 4 days. Jesus was buried for 3 days. There was no doubt by anyone that these men were dead. How much time lapsed between the time the man collapsed and when he began to move again? 30 minutes, an hour, 3 days?

    May I suggest that you make sure of the FACTS before suggesting another person doesn't share your belief in such a despicable manner.

    I saw a man with what is reportedly no heart rate and no respiration and a team doing CPR on him (and that one guy made me want to smack him - so glad someone showed him how to do CPR properly - too bad they couldn't stop him from punching the man's chest) and he revived. I would not say that is "rising from the dead" as it was done Biblically. It would be like saying my daughter's pancreatic tumor was healed - even though the doctors removed it in surgery.
