Embarrassing and every Christian with an ounce of sense should be ashamed for giving this man a platform before 60 million people.

Are YOU "ashamed for giving this man a platform before 60 million people"?

If "YES" - then why did you do it?

If "NO" - then perhaps you should have more sense.

We live in a country where we were given freedom of religion----according to the United States Constitution--Congress CANNOT pass a law that disallows him running if he so chooses----same with the president we have now----kissing up to islam which is an antichrist---but yet---congress cannot declare him unfit because of his religion

I did not give Romney a "Platform"---he gave himself the platform protected by the United States Constitution

George Bush said the same thing.

This is a statement that should drive anyone who says they are conservative or fundamental in their theology crazy.

    G. Bush may have said the same thing and I'd simply chalk that up to theological ignorance. Bush never impressed me with the depth of his understanding of anything theological.

Romney probably really means what he says to the extend he understands the concept himself. However, like his political stances, we do not know what he really mean by the statement as he does not clarify what he means. There could be a number of interpretations of this statement and we have no idea which one he means.

What does President Bush have to do with this conversation?

And what is Crabby even talking about?

I'm asking, you think BHO does? Of reading him and hearing him I don't believe he understands anything theological.

So does anyone want to start a thread about which major political party is closer to a Holy God?

I expect he has some theological understanding, but I am not sure what it is or how deep it runs. He has said he is a Christian. But that does not tell us what his theology is or where he stands on doctrinal issues. But he has not made theological pronouncements as has some politicians.

I am not sure how theologically deep any of our presidents have been. Carter, IMHO, has a deeper theologically understanding than any other president in my lifetime.

It might be an interesting thread discussing the depth of our presidents theological understanding. Of course we need to separate understanding from putting that understanding into action in their lives.

    What say you?

I believe it is the GOP, but it is like does my neighbor or I live closer to you. He lives a mile north of me, so he lives closer to you than I, but neither of us want to walk that far.

As far as which party is closer to a Holy God, I would compare it to two adjacent atoms at one edge of the universe and God on the other end.

Nope. George Bush said that Muslims and Christians worship the same god if I'm not mistaken. Said it three times before a national audience, the second two times after being corrected by Billy Graham and some other prominent evangelicals. That's why I didn't vote for him and wrote someone in.

So we see that the Scriptures use the concept of being a child of God in more ways than one.

No we don't see that. A child of God is what it is. And you can attempt to author confusion about it if you like once again for political purposes. But if you're not born again, washed in the blood of the lamb and grafted into His family, you're not HIS child.

And who is the god of the arrogant abortionist-in-chief and liar-in-chief in the White House and all-those-who-think-like-he-does?

    Proverbs 6:16-19
    16. These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
    17. A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
    18. An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
    19. A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Well there's no denying that you are shilling for the Romney anti-Christ.
