If this poll is correct Romney has a new and big worry, IMHO.

Romney and Ryan are proposing no change to the benefits to people over the age of 55.

Any changes that they are proposing are for younger people that have more time until retirement.

The purpose being to solve the systems solvency problem long term.

Obama has proposed nothing - which means "let social security go bankrupt".

So now Crabby is reading Islamic sites to post nonsense about Romney! This speaks volumes about his desperation. He obviously thinks all old people are stupid!

It doesn't matter what they are proposing. The majority of the populace is economically illiterate so they definitely aren't going to understand any proposal to fix social security.

All they will hear is "Romney and Ryan are tinkering with SS". And if they think a candidate is going to do anything to mess with that check, that candidate can forget about explaining ANYTHING to them.

I think many older folks are beginning to see through the Democrats false front on SS. Every four years they try to demonize the Republicans while trying to hide the fact that the D's are just as complicit in the robbery of SS for funding purposes as the R's are.

Apparently Crabby now has to go as far out as Islamic Propaganda websites to find propaganda here in the US. :BangHead:

Speaking of Medicare, and this has nothing to do with Romney, this is part of the "fiscal cliff" that Congress is sitting on and doing nothing about - As of January 1st, Medicare payments to doctors will drop by 30%. Now how many doctors are going to continue taking Medicare patients?

My mother is having cataract surgery before January 1st, before the doc fix goes away and obamacare starts kicking in.

Helpful hint: If you are on Medicare and need a surgical procedure of any kind, get it now before January.

Impossible to determine but surely much less than are accepting payments right now.

Also, when the $715B is shifted from Medicare to ObamaCare the Medicare reimbursement rates will be lowered. There will be doctors that will stop taking Medicare patients when that occurs as well.
