Will there be all types in heaven?

    It is often said that we should get used to different denomination/doctrinal views since we will all be in heaven together.

    I would disagree with that statement.
    There will not be baptist and catholics and charismatics etc in heaven. There will be no false theology in heaven. There will be people who believed less than perfect theology on earth in heaven, but no false theology.

    The main point is that all worship in heaven will be perfect too.
    We are all in the process of being conformed to the image of Christ and we will never be completed in this life which means we will all change when we are glorified.

    Since our goal is to be conformed to Christ likeness, we should have as our goal proper theology. With that in mine we should never dismiss a topic "because there will be all types of Christians in heaven".

    Dale...well said...! The greatest hope I have for the future in Heaven, second to being able to finally meet My Lord face to face will be that I will finally know what it is like to experience moral, spiritual, and yes...doctrinal purity. There will be no denominations or disagreements....forever! Finally those most important expectations can and will forever be fulfilled!:thumbsup:

    Seriously, though we won't need labels with perfect theology.

    As to the myth that people are neither calvinist or arminian, you have to be one or the other in a general sense. I have seen many baptists afraid of the term "arminian" because they believe in eternal security. It really comes down to whether regeneration is the cause of saving faith or the result of saving faith.

    We will understand this doctrine perfectly in heaven and I admit I still have much to learn on the way.

    I am Baptist-born, Baptist-bred and when I die I'll be Baptist dead, but a lot of the things we fight over ecclesiastically and doctrinally are not really hills to die on. I've found out that the Lord can use people that I don't always like or agree with- some of them here on the BB.:smilewinkgrin:

    My opinion

    Point One....Thank God that the only label that matters is SAVED!

    Point Two....I just hope, for the sake of so many that have invested so much of their lives in disecting the teachings of Calvin and Arminius and following them, that BOTH of THEM make it into heaven. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God. There has been much twisting and wresting of the scriptures on the part of BOTH "camps". I do believe that the real truth lies somewhere in the middle. I'm just not skilled enough to argue the matter.

    Point Three.....(In my opinion)...Regeneration is the REAL work of the New Birth...and it is the work of the Holy Spirit that is accomplished instantaneously once a sinner repents and comes to salvation by grace through faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. It ONLY takes place in the life of a genuine believer and ONLY once and forever. The work of the Holy Spirit to sanctify and conform us into the image of Christ then begins and continues throughout our earthly walk in this life. As I continue this walk it is my hope that I will come to a better understanding of the "spiritual mechanics" of this divine transaction we know as Salvation in Christ. The only real label I desire here other than "Christian" would be "Bible Believer"....and ...

    Point Four....When I stand before the Lord I dearly hope He can say to me..."Well done they good and faithful servant............."(Matt.25:23). That is my prayer.

    ...when it comes to living on this earth, it is still important that we "Love everyone, and leave the judgment up to Jesus!"

    I don't know what heaven will be like, but, I do believe it will be filled with believers of all walks of faith.

    False doctrines, NO! Faith in Christ, YES!

    Yes. people from all types of traditions and denominations will be represented that is for sure.

    We should strive for doctrinal purity here, and we should always speak the truth in love. Considering that we are also still learning and growing ourselves.

    This is really a good thread. There is no greater goal for all of us than to see Jesus face to face and worship Him in a glorified state. Our attention will be so rivited on Him that I doubt whether we will give a second thought to old theological differences, or BB postings. No one knows who we will see with us, but my opinion is that it will not be a big factor, as we will be focused on the presence of Jesus.

    Some of the gospel songs I have heard over the years sound more like a SyFy movie than being in the presence of the Lord, like the one that describes us flying by Jupiter, Mars, and Neptune on the way to heaven, or having a house on the edge of glory land. I doubt we are going to fly away oh glory, by and by.

    A question that does come to mind, for the KJO types, what do you think the odds are of finding King James when you arrive in heaven, or for those who spent endless time of Calvin-Arminian threads, of finding either Calvin or Arimius there?

    That is a great post. Your second paragraph is why I like this forum, to learn, and to adjust my errors. It is human nature, especially mine, to get into a theological argument with everyone who disagrees with what we believe, when we should be open to learning correct doctrine when the Holy Spirit shows us we were wrong. That is the purpose of BB, not showing how right we are.

    Why wouldn't we? Every tear will be wiped away, not our memories. The martyrs in Revelation sure remembered what happened to them.

    Since the very word denomination means separation in beliefs, there will be no such thing in Heaven.
