So I wonder where the difference was on moral issues between Santorum and Romney whereby Graham would side with Santorum over Romney just months ago? But now, it's all about the morals. Interesting.

Are these the same Biblical values that had them supporting Santorum over Romney a few months ago? The two really don't differ on abortion and same-sex marriage. So why on earth would the Grahams have supported Santorum over Romney?

You have no moral authority to criticize anyone. Your tactics mimic the money changers and Pharisees in the New Testement, using the Word of God to promote an agenda or make a buck. The extent of your contribution to the political system is sitting in a chair on the internet typing insane posts. Your contribution to the Gospel is using it to promote a liberal agenda, and your contribution to freedom and liberty is nothing.

When SN said, "You have no moral authority to criticize anyone." I think he was very much on topic.

As for telling him to grow up, you should learn from him how to act like an adult.

Nobody asked you what you THOUGHT was on topic. I expect the bully clique to co-sign with each other. As his post was about ME and not the OP, it's off topic.

But the clique has a very bad habit of doing that and it's time the Mods addressed it.

I believe people should be allowed to support (or endorse) a candidate without being accused of being a hypocrite. We are in a different situation now. When Graham endorsed Santorum it was during a Republican Primary. Now we are in a general election where Romney is facing a pro-abortion, pro-homosexual agenda candidate. This change might very well cause someone like Mr. Graham to change who he supports.

Amen!! I don't see it as hypocrisy at all. There was a choice before, and now there is a different choice.

    Pick a number: 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5

    Now pick a number: 2 or 5

Are you a hypocrite for choosing 1 the first time and 2 the second? I don't think so.

Martin the question is more the why. He said that Santorum shared his morals moreso than the others, and obviously that included Romney. And now they are stating abortion and same-sex marriage which Santorum and Romney shared the same stance.

So something else caused him to NOT choose Romney initially since the two candidates were in agreement about the moral issues.

The hypocrisy comes into play because it's obvious I believe, with their moral stances being the same, that there is another reason why Franklin Graham was choosing Santorum over Romney. And the first story highlights, again, what I believe to be the reason.

And to then, 6 months later, turn around and act like his not being a Christian is no longer a factor, it's hypocritical.

It's political compromise same as is what was did in having Mormonism removed as a cult on the website.

Santorum didn't make the cut in the primaries, Romney did. You're looking for a controversy that just isn't there.

==My guess would be that Santorum was the original choice and now that Romney (not Santorum) is the general election candidate he is seen as the better of the two choices (Obama or Romney). Again, we have to pay attention to the context of the endorsements. I think the evidence does not justify calling Mr. Graham a hypocrite because of his endorsement of Romney. We are dealing with two different situations.

==I agree that having the term "cult" removed from their website was compromise. However that is a different issue than the endorsement. Franklin Graham could have endorsed Romney without the BGEA removing the term "cult" from its website. The current endorsement of Romney by Franklin Graham is in the context of the general election.

I think these remarks speak to the heart of the matter, and I concur. I didn't vote for Romney in the primary because he wasn't my choice. Now the old boy is one of the last two standing, so I throw my weight behind the one I prefer, who just so happens to be Romney. It seems the Grahams have done the same. For the most part, I think that's the nature of a political system that has primary and general elections.

I agree. If they wanted to endorse Romney, fine. But I think they should have left their website alone. You can endorse someone with whom you disagree on any given number of issues, including their religion.
