You all don't believe in polls, but . . .

I trust the poll. I just don't trust the person interpreting it. If you look at the actual wording of the poll, and the results, it shows MORE prejudice against white people, than black people.

For instance, 8 percent of those polled, say that the fact that Barack Obama is black, makes it MORE LIKELY that they would vote for Him, vs. 7 percent that says it makes it less likely. A 1 percent greater racism against whites, than blacks. In a poll that is 67 percent white people, that is saying something.

In fact, 67 percent of the people polled say white people are to some degree lazy (compared with 61 percent of people polled that say this of blacks), 70 percent say white people are irresponsible (compared with 68 percent that say blacks are irresponsible), 23 percent said whites have too much influence on the nation (while just 15 percent said that of blacks).

Also, considering the polling sample (67 percent white, and only 12 percent black) the fact that 2 black people said they dislike white people, compared to the 7 white people who said they don't like black people, shows a MUCH greater prejudice towards whites than blacks. 10 percent of the white people polled, showed real prejudice (dislike of someone because of skin color), whereas 16 percent of blacks showed real prejudice against whites.

Personal Opinion: The data sample is just too small to say that Americans are expressing anything. Would the FDA give permission to bring a highly controversial drug to market based on testing of less than 1,100 people?

I've just skimmed the entire survey. Link below. Wish I had more time, now, to do a little more analysis. Assuming that this does indeed reflect America's opinion, there appears to be other areas that should be making headlines, instead of a slight change in preception of the race issue.
