    IMHO Reagan will gradually drop into the lower 50% of presidents. This will happen after those who were old enough to remember his presidency. I will not live long enough to see if I am right or wrong. Historians say it takes at least 100 years before a good objective opinion can be formed.

    On the 2008 election. I agree the GOP has learned nothing and if they learning nothing from this election they will begin a downward spiral in their influence and ability to win a national election. A party cannot continue viable when it plays only to the conservative White voter. They must alter some of their stances and begin to attract others. Jeb Bush has recognized this and has spoken about it, as have other thinking Republicans.

    The mess continues because of US not them.

    We've set the poor example that has marriage under attack .
    We've set the poor example that has abortion running rampant.
    And the poor example we've set during this election cycle of supporting that which is against Christ is again yet another reason why this country and this world will continue to move farther and farther from Christ. Not because of them, but because of US, God's people.

    The poor example started many years ago. We got in 2008 an ungodly man for President who has no regard for God or country. When he said and I quote from the first election "Even though my mother was an athiest and never believed in God she was a good person and I believe she is looking down from heaven today" Barak Obama, this convienced me, that Presidient Obama knows nothing about Christianity and that to go to Heaven one must Believe on the Lord Jesus and the He is God in order to have salvation. Then he removes God from his platform, ensures that the abortion mill called Planned Parenthood is funded with our tax dollars which is illegal and stands up for same sex marriage, and yet we have people wqho call themselves Christians who will vote for a man like that we really have acrooked and perverse nation of religious people.

    And on the flip side of all that, you have folks who will call themselves Christians who will vote for a man who believes their Lord and Savior is brothers with the devil and that he will one day become a god.

    So who is really doing what a Christian is supposed to do?

    Vote as lead by the Holy Spirit and look to what God's word says about our leaders. Look to see which one will do that which is right in the sight of God and which will do evil. Rejecting God, funding murder and recognizing same sex marriage, is that right in God's sight or evil. Obama has shown himself to be just that, he rejected God, chooses to fund the murder of innocent babies and state that same sex marriage is ok. Rominy on the other hand yes his Morman religion is a negative but ask this does he Recognize God the Father as God. is he pro-life, and does he believe in the sanctity of marriafge.
    If one voted for the President they state that they don't believe God the father should be recognized, that abortion should be funded with God's money because all the money you and I have is God's and that one believes same sex marriage is ok, that what a believer states when they vote for a man who has shown that is what he believes in.

    Leviticus 26:15 And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:

    16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

    17 And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

    18 And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

    19 And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:

    20 And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.

    21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

    22 I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.

    23 And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;

    24 Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.

    25 And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

    26 And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

    27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;

    28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

    29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

    Seems we have a President who practices this: "despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:" and have believers who agree with him because they voted for him. We are going furhter into the God's cycles of discipline upon our nation. Thanks all you Obama supporters. Rominy may be a morman but he does not "despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:" as Leviticus 26 lays out.

    Shameless self-promotion, but I was pretty close on the popular vote. Right now it stands at about 50.3% / 48.1% / 1.6%. Obviously missed the EC - Obama ended up getting FL, VA and CO. FL shocked me, but in retrospect, the GOP has to do better with Hispanics, or they will never win another Presidential election again. Mark it down.

    And the GOP will have to do better with young folks and independents. Snubbing Ron Paul's delegates/voters may have affected things in some states. As long as the GOP keeps putting up establishment stiffs and neocon sycophants as the nominee they will keep losing...and deservedly so. It's truly sad that as poorly as Obama has done and as bad as the economy is, the GOP couldn't put up ANYONE who could unseat the President.

    It's gonna be fun listening to Sean Hannity whine about 'the Anointed One' tonight and seeing if Dick Morris has the guts to show up after predicting a Romney landslide.

    Of course, because they were basically snubbed. Many wouldn't have otherwise even entertained voting GOP, but after the way many of Paul's delegates were treated, they definitely were not going to support the establishment guy. Many probably either didn't vote, wrote in someone (like Paul himself) or voted Libertarian or another third party. A few may have even voted for Obama perhaps reasoning he would be less likely (if only slightly) to get us into another Middle Eastern war.
