    Article Link

I found this article very interesting as I am one of those liberals who is disappointed in the President. Earlier this year, I was seriously considering voting third party against Obama. While I don't go as far as the author does, I have since developed more of an appreciation for the President. The real problem is the Congress, which has to be the most dysfunctional branch of the Federal government.

So, no, Obama isn't a great President, but I do believe he has done a decent overall job. That's why I'm glad to support him for re-election.

You have no moral conflict with his rabid pro-abortion stance?

What constitutes a "decent overall job"?

IMO by every measure he has been a complete failure.

He did not thing to create jobs - the reported unemployment rate is fiction.
Gas prices are much higher as a direct result of his policies.
The national debt has ballooned beyond belief with nothing to show for it.
War deaths continue to mount with nothing to show for it.
The country is more divided that when he took office.
He set race relations back at least a generation.
Family incomes are lower than when he took office.

How has he done a decent job? Other than passing Obamacare, keeping Chrysler and GM in business and killing bin Laden, what else has he accomplished?

Even his own campaign says (paraphrasing) "we've made a great start but now we have to finish the job", in effect admitting that he's failed and needs another term.

The writer of the link has his head in a warm dark place as do all who embrace the Marxist ideology of Obama and the party of death!

posed the same question on another thread with the same result you will get, SILENCE! That is the only answer these people can really give unless they want to confess to being in favor of the continued slaughter of the unborn. Of course Obama is in favor of going one step further!

It was the Senate led by Harry Reid that refused to do anything.

I ask you again: As a professing believer in Jesus Christ how can you support a rabid abortionist like Obama?

The great Jack Lambert once said..."all quarterbacks should wear dresses". And he has been proven right.

Team zero promised to recognize the Armenian genocide. Turkey told him..."...oh no you don't...". He didn't. Maybe Obama played some quarterback in school ?

We may survive his presidency. We won't survive his brain dead fan base.

It's funny you ask this. Every Friday I meet with my fifth cousin once removed for dinner. We don't talk about politics very much, but this last time we did talk about the election some and he raised the abortion issue and asked me basically the same question you asked me. I explained to him that I think President Obama has a very mainstream pro-choice view. No one is being forced to have an abortion or anything. Secondly, I don't care about abortion as much as other issues. Thirdly, I'm not going to be ensnared by the silly little game Republicans play with their wedge issues.

Though I disagree, you have a right to your opinion.

    http://m.townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2012/08/23/extreme_obama_says_hes_prochoice_on_late_term_abortion
Asked specifically if he supports "late term" -- second and third trimester -- abortions, Obama affirms that he is "pro-choice." In other words, yes, if a woman decides to end the life of her child in the ninth month of pregnancy, that should be her "choice." He has also voted against bans on a horrifyingly grisly procedure known as "partial birth abortion." These positions put Obama significantly out of step with prevailing opinion. When he was running for president in 2008, Obama told a Planned Parenthood audience that one of his first acts in office would be to sign the extreme "Freedom of Choice Act," which would invalidate the federal partial birth abortion ban, eliminate parental notification laws, and likely lead to public financing of abortion. This Obama-backed piece of legislation seeks to wipe out most, if not all, of the common-sense restrictions on abortion favored by most Americans. Obama's most stunning abortion-related stance, however, was his repeated opposition to the Illinois "Born Alive Infant Protection Act."

Does this sound mainstream to you?

A question, if I may: As a matter of morality, how do you justify taking a preborn child's life?

I don't. As I explained to my fifth cousin once removed last Friday, I do not support abortion and I am strongly pro-life.

Then you are ignorant of the facts. While in the Illinois Senate Obama vote three times against a bill that required medical care for babies alive after a "botched" abortion! Did you by chance ignore all the "kill the unborn" speeches at the leftist convention that re-nominated Obama the baby killer

What issues are more important to you than pro-life?

In my opinion a "strongly pro-life" Christian could not vote for baby killer Obama!

Perhaps getting a Socialist elected president. Perhaps establishing a Socialist state on the road to communism/fascism!
