What do most of you once saved always saved people do with these chapters?

    A. Close your eyes through the tough spots and pick it back up in chapter 4.

    B. Classify them in time periods so that your period sounds better

    C. Put your thumb in your mouth and blow.

    D. Accept that we as believers have a duty to fulfill and our necks are on the line.

    Basic principles of hermeneutics ask:

    1. Who is speaking
    2. To whom is being spoken
    3. What is being spoken about

Who is speaking? Jesus Christ is speaking to the churches through the written letter by John.

To whom is being spoken? He is not speaking to the lost. He is not speaking merely to the saved. He is addressing baptized believers in particular congregations. The Holy Spirit addresses those who have ears to hear within the congregations at the end of each letter.

What is he speaking about? His is addressing their "works" - "I know thy works" is the repeated line. He is not speaking about being saved but about faithful service.

    Faithful service? Wow.

Looks like Christ was speaking to all churches.

    Revelation 22:16-17

16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Yes, churches are composed of people who ALREADY claim to be saved and churches are for ONLY PROFESSED saved people to render acceptable service unto God. Salvation is in Christ while service unto Christ is through the churches. Your theological background does not allow you to distinguish between salvation vesrus service as you confuse them and make them one and the same.

It very interesting to see how you deal with such an obvious command to obey or be cast out. I'm sure most humans would like to think this way. I suppose the parable about the sheep and the goats is about the need for farmers to keep their cattle divided by colors?

No the sheep and the goats are a division between the saved and lost professors within the professing kingdom of God at Christ's return. Both are characterized by fruits fitting each classification.
