The unemployment skyrocketed in November 2008 after Obama won the election! Coincidence or fear?

Umm, didn't they explain why the numbers skyrocketed?

Looks like the problem is the unresolved fiscal cliff and not the election. But like liberals blaming everything on Bush, the new thing is for conservatives to blame everything on Obama. My how the tables have turned.

    Politics.

Short term consequences. No long term consequences when both parties are controlled and owned by the same international corporations. Pragmatically, the US has the same government structure the USSR did.

You do remember how that ended for the USSR, don't you? I am old enough to remember the reports of poverty, out of control inflation, and iron boot on the neck of the people. And people wonder why the secession movement is so appealing.

IMO, the figures are worse than what these appear to be. Seasonal jobs are being filled by temporary workers for the holiday season. Thus there's a pause in filing unemployment claims. After Christmas many of these folks will be filing once again, if they have any benefits remaining.

Edit: Add paid campaign workers who have nothing to do now.

That is not really true as the last four years demonstrate. A four year Obamma depression is not short term. Now he gets the opportunity to extend it four ore years! Shades of FDR!

The working class has been losing ground for 30 years but no right winger noticed until a black person was elected president.

So am I to assume you are acquainted with every "right winger" in this country? You do have a lot of acquaintances.

C'mon y'all the top .1% is way more deserving than we are. Somebody has to suffer so they can rake in all the wealth. Quick yer bellyachin already. Can't we all just be thankful that McDonalds still has the dollar menu? I know I am.

I was thinking next week I'd shave my legs and look for a serving job. Really dred getting rid of my mustache though I've had it for 31 years now. Guess I've grown to attached to it. Ah well.

Does anybody know if cranberry sauce goes good with racoon?

Anyone ever consider that this might be BO's way of making Michelle happy by implementing a nationwide weight-loss program?

What I want to know is if Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, and Nutrawhatsit are going to get bailouts.
