Most of us are, we just don't let others know about our "secret little" sin. Which is why 1 John 1:7-10 teaches, "...if we [really] are living and walking in the Light, as He [Himself] is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations]. If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude and lead ourselves astray, and the Truth [which the Gospel presents] is not in us [does not dwell in our hearts]. If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action]. If we say (claim) we have not sinned, we contradict His Word and make Him out to be false and a liar, and His Word is not in us [the divine message of the Gospel is not in our hearts]."

I came across a really good article on secret sin and how our secret sins can enslave us.

Please take the time to peruse the following, and give the Spirit a chance to search your heart and life, and if you are convicted [for as much as gossiping about the preacher's kids; or stealing a pen from your employer] of anything, repent and ask God to forgive you, than "Go and sin no more!"

    I appreciated the article.
It was not like so many that are nothing more than a moralistic, guilt trip giving lecture.
The only hope we have is in Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ made us free. We choose at times to live enslaved to sin rather than in the victory of Christ.
Romans 6-8 provides some helpful reflection points.

I think Romans 6-8 is a great picture of the internal battle that goes on with each and every Christian. I once heard someone say the person(s) being talked about in those verses was an unsaved person. I could not disagree more.

Amen. No reason to believe that is a picture of an unsaved person.
