Now go, and Live for Him Today!

Have you ever stopped to consider what happens in your body in just one 24-hour day? The human body is just one, of many magnificent examples, of God's creative handiwork here on earth. Both physically and mentally speaking, the human body is a work of art, wonderfully and marvelously created to accomplish things that should in truth cause awe and fear (respectful fear) to grab hold of the hearts and minds of each living person on this planet. Just to comprehend the manner by which each cell, organ, muscle, bone, and tissue in your body meshes together in a living concert of perfect harmony to compliment the other pieces; is an amazing feat of nature.

As you reflect on the following actions conducted and accomplished on behalf of your body to sustain and maintain your life, it is not an easy thing to forget that we were his most prized work in the creation of the entire earth.

    Your heart beats 103,689 times
Your blood travels 168,000,000 miles (270,369,792 Km)
    You breathe 23,040 times
You inhale 438 cubic feet of air. (12.402779 cubit meters)
You eat 3.25 pounds of food (1.5 Kg)
You drink 2.9 quarts of liquids (2.75 liters)
You lose 7/8 pound of waste. (.400 Kg)
You speak 4,800 words, including some unnecessary ones
    You move 750 muscles
Your nails grow .000046 inch (0.0011684 millimeters)
Your hair grows .01714 inch (0.435356 millimeters)
    You exercise 7,000,000 brain cells.

About 15 years ago, I was given an echocardiogram test, and while I laid on my side, I asked the technician if I could watch the same screen he was watching. As he moved the screen into a position, I too, could see my heart like never before, in living color.
I watched in complete awe and amazement as the cardio version of a sonogram revealed to me, for the first time ever, my very own heart, beating on the screen before my eyes. I watched as my heart did its part to circulate the blood in my body. Blood that was miraculously created to move life-sustaining nutrition, oxygen, and waste throughout my body to different organs, each with the responsibility to ultimately maintain my overall bodily functions. For me, the minute intricacies of the human body are simply eye opening, mind blowing, wonderful at the very least! The human body speaks volumes of the wondrous hand of God in creation of life here on earth!

I think my experience is similar to a young mother and father seeing their unborn child on a sonogram, within the womb, moving around and demonstrating just how alive that baby is, even before it enters this world at birth!

If this is not the master plan and handiwork a work of a supernatural God in action, then I'd like to know what is? Years ago [many more than I'd like to admit] I was taking a course in human biology. It seemed like each day in class humbled me more than the previous one, as I witnessed the wonder and awe of His direct hand in the wonders of creation and human life. In fact, by the end of the course, there was no way any one could ever convince me of anything different regarding the fact of His creating this world, the universe, and all life forms on the planet! I knew, without a shadow of doubt, that there was no way I could ever stand by and listen to someone question the creation story, as what I had witnessed during that one semester helped my to realize that the hand of a supreme God, was extremely wise and all knowing when he molded man from a clump of clay!

It was so clear that all forms of life on earth were not here by mere coincidence or happenstance. It took a wise, all knowing Father to create all that we know, see, feel, touch, taste and smell within the complexity of the highly scientific existence we know as life. There is no way that life could've have accidentally come together in a swamp billions of years ago, evolving into the many different life forms we have today. It took the hand of a supreme being to create this world and the universe, and we can only truly understand this life through faith. It is a fact that we were wondrously and marvelously created for His pleasure.

With that said, I'd like to point out that no one who trusts in God should ever fall under the spell of complacency, taking this life, or your own life for granted. What we have before us is precious and valuable, and like Kay Lyons once said, "Yesterday is a canceled check; tomorrow is a promissory note; today is the only cash you have - so spend it wisely."

There is no denying just how great our God is! Likewise, there is no denying how much God loved us when He allowed His lonely Son to die on the cross for the sins of mankind. I pray that 2013 be a year where we live each day to its fullest for the Kingdom, not waking up the next day with regrets for what we could've, would've, should've done. It is also so very important that we stop putting off till tomorrow, the opportunity to pass through the open door He provided you today!

I believe the Psalmist says this best in Psalm 139:13-16 - "Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, You watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, the days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day." (the Message Bible)

Now go, and live for Him, forever!

I wish to second all the compliments regarding the OP. Certainly we are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made by Holy God.

The words of righteousdude2. demonstrate so clearly that evolution is a false science. Believing that something as complex as the human body could happen by anything other than divine creation is beyond comprehension!

    Many thanks to you righteousdude2.

I have a link to a You Tube video by Louie Giglio. It is a short 6 minute video on the protein molecule called Laminin. Louie will show you a picture of it as seen under an electron microscope. Read Col. 1:17
