NLT and The Message

    NO.


    I have limited exposure to the NLT. I have quite a bit with "the message". It is no Bible. It has no purpose other than as an example of how NOT to remain faithful to Scripture.

    I don't preach but I frequently use the NLT during communion and prayer.

    It communicates God's word in a clear and understandable way.

    I'll use either occasionally to help explain a passage, get an additional vantage point, or communicate something with greater clarity.

    My primary text for preaching is the HCSB.

    Not a pastor, but btought NLT for youngest son, and use it to read the bible with him...

    Seems to read quite a bit like the niv version to me at least...
