Considering the fact that Calvinists manipulate and misinterpret Scripture to bolster their heretical agenda, in addition to their extreme anger when confronted with their false doctrine by Christians with a good foundation of doctrine, you do think Calvinists are mentally ill?

Another way of asking the question might be, do you think Calvinism is a mental illness?

I do this for entertainment value not because I think you are going to be sensible. But, here goes...

What you have in this post of yours is a claim without a warrant.

You just CLAIM something is so, without providing support for that claim. Aside from being nothing but inflammatory nonsense, it does not speak well of your intellectual prowess.

Intelligent people simply do not do what you do here. They make a CASE for what they claim because they know other intelligent people will expect that of them.

Perhaps, but this is one of my weaknesses. I find it very hard to turn down a fight! Pray for me!

I sense a "duble entendre". I hope you get what I mean...I am NOT "phishing" for a fight.

I believe in God's sovereignty very strongly. It has nothing to do with Calvin's writings or his life. It has to do with the Bible. In fact, the name Calvin turns my stomach for a variety of reasons that are not the subject of this thread.

Having said that, I would never call a devout Arminian or free willer mentally ill. It is a different way of working with Scripture.

I work in an adult day care, and it is a very grueling job. My reason for working there is maybe to make a difference in someone's life. The use of the term "mentally ill" to disparage a particular belief about the Lord is disgraceful to those who believe in sovereignty, and to those who really are afflicted by mental illness.

My idea is that this is started by those who played games in a series of threads some time back that stated mentally ill people are all sinners and out of the will of the Lord. In fact, it was one of my responses to one of those threads that got me my only infraction. I will not be duped into that again.
