What has the Lord been doing in your ministries? Just thought it would be a nice place to share How He is moving!

I'll chip in when others share.

    I'll answer as a pastor's wife. :)

After some real struggle, we seem to be gaining some footing. We have a number of new believers who are really growing in the Lord and each week, we find we have some new visitors. Not all stay but many do and that's a great thing.

We started this year with three goals:

    1. Start a ministry for the teens - This has already happened and the teens are meeting for something fun and then go back to someone's house for Bible study. It's been an amazing time with these kids and most of them are already involved in ministry at our church since it's still pretty small.

    2. Have our own worship team - We have a few people who sing and we use backing tracks but our goal is to get together even just a guitar to play and it seems that the teens are working on getting together to start learning how to play worship together! That would be awesome! Even one of our deacon's wives is learning the bass! LOL

    3. Have our own building and not meet in the hotel anymore - Well, we're making an offer on a leased building this week hopefully. It's right on a main road and the space will really work well for us.

So we see God working in those areas and it's not even March!

My husband has been able to preach more and he's really grown into a pretty good preacher, if I do say so myself. God's also put us into a place of doing a lot more marriage counseling and it's incredible how He's orchestrating that too.

You know when things are just working in a certain way (not perfect but still "right") and you just know that God is carrying it? Yeah - that's where we are right now. :)

We've seen God do some miraculous things here. We came in financially over budget in spite of some of our people losing jobs. Since January, we have baptized 2 adults and 2 teens. One of the adults was from an outreach Bible study that was started with mostly school teachers. She was sort of a first fruits because most of these people were outstanding people but with little knowledge of the bible and most of what they knew about it was wrong. ("Where in the Bible does it say 'God helps those who help themselves'?")

For the past year, we have been doing all the prep work to putting in a bid on the church building next door to us hat would have given us needed SS space as well as a larger fellowship hall. In the beginning of January, we put in a bid and we got the rfesponse yesterday! It was "No, your bid is too low." They didn't even make a counter offer. But, we feel that was as much a part of God's work as if they had said yes. Our only prayer was for God's will.

I am so thankful that our people honestly wanted God's will, so that at this point they are not discouraged because their "No" was His answer for the current time.
