Following are the closing remarks of President Reagan to the 1992 Republican Convention. Contrast these remarks of President Reagan with the stuff spewed by Obama in recent days.

Thank you for a moment of fresh air.

For some reason, after reading those words, my thoughts turned again to the 23rd Psalm. That, too, is often like a breath of fresh air.

The confidence of President Reagan in the American people and his unrestrained optimism lifted this country out of the malaise caused by Viet Nam, Nixon, and Carter. Now we have the doomsday rhetoric of Obama!

President Reagan was the greatest President of our life times. There is no comparison between him and the Presidents since. It has been a steady deterioration to this point. It does not need to be said that we reached a low point in 2008, but we must not have gotten the message from the 2012 results. The only defense one can give is that Obama's opponents were only slightly better. That not only includes the Presidents since Reagan, but before. Think about LBJ, Nixon and Carter. It seems great Presidents are the exception.

Reagan was a pretty good B-actor. In fact, his best role was playing the part of president for eight years. This of course was the downturn of our country,

    You are correct:
I believe that Reagan was the best president in my lifetime which makes him the best president of the 20th Century. FDR is considered a great president but the country endured 8 years of depression under him {Obama light!} and he had to get us involved in WWII to end the depression and to help out "good old Joe". Furthermore, he put the country on the road to Socialism.

I do not doubt that we would have eventually had to enter the war but like all democrats FDR never let a good opportunity go to waste! I would put Harry Truman ahead of FDR because he had the "guts" to use the A-Bomb to end the war against the Japanese.

Give FDR a brake....he had to live with a lesbo wife & he was a cripple. I sincerely believe he wanted to do the right thing for the nation with all the rampant poverty. He told the Banks he wasn't going to bail them out (not like that Bush/Obama/Palson cabal who gave them carte blanche).... now look where we are. I seriously believe that what we have in the White House today are a bunch of self-serving and vainglorious college boys who are, themselves, envious of men of greater ability than their own, and more energy.

Brother, I tell you this sincerely......there is nothing more dangerous than an inferior man who has been convinced that he has been deprived of what he feels is due to his humanness. Take a look at all the incompetents in BO's administration....all failures. BTW, goes for religion too!

Imagine my shock at your opinion.

BTW, "uninnovative" is not a word. When you attempt to look superior at least check your definitions and word spellings, lest you appear to look like a fool!

But you got the message. I can use any word I want, drone. It's called poetic license.

Yes, he has plenty of publications of love poems. He also wears a flower in his hair and braids his armpits with little pink ribbons on the end.
