Interesting point Hanagraaf made yesterday as he claims that in some rare cases a medical problem can make one not responsible for some sins. In this event I say the man is still responsible, just not as responsible as if fully aware. I know that John MacArthur would disagree with this, but he is not right on everything. For example when I was taking certain pills I would sometimes eat and drink in my sleep. I was not conscious or aware of doing this until I found the food and drinks missing in the morning. Was I responsible for these actions? Perhaps not. I guess the same can be said for others, but these have t be rare cases.

We are responsible for our volitional choices, where we know what is right, either based on scripture or on our conscious. But another issue is implied by the title of the thread, is God responsible for what we would call evil. For example, a flood occurs and people die. Is not the killing by the environment an act of God and is not killing of babies evil?

The issue is that what is evil in our eyes, is not necessarily evil in God's eyes. Our harsh environment causes us to seek God as a refuge and the price is the loss of life.

Surely a detailed question and one for a Old Testament Theology course. Not everyone will fully understand it.
