Why on earth do these parents keep letting their daughters wear this mess to church let alone anywhere else?

    Have we lost our minds?

Now yall let me know if this pic is too risque. But this is the kind of stuff I keep seeing the young girls(middle school and high school) wearing to church, the mall etc.

    It's ridiculous.

What are we teaching in our homes that young girls think its okay to dress like this at church or anywhere?

I didn't say THOSE women were in church. I said that's the type of stuff the young ladies are wearing to church.

I just wonder how we can say we are discipling our children when we apparently aren't teaching them what God's word says about modesty.

My wife and i were regular visitors to a church a few years back that taught the Sovereignty of God but they also taught the christian was under no law of God or Christ whatsoever. One of the most immoral things i witnessed at that place was at a church dinner. The pastors wife had this girl of about thirty years old to stand up so the congregation could sing happy birthday to her and when she stood up all she had on from the wast down was a G-string under a see through dress. The female big breasted members of that church didn't think anything at all about wearing low cut dresses. I remember one statement the pastor made as he was preaching a measage about how religion would try to bring believers under bondage by keeping laws. This pastor had came out of a strict FB church and the statement he made was, remember back when we all didn't believe in going to the beach in our bathing suits because we thought that was a sin. I remember before we left, the church was in a yearly conference and after the preaching the pastor announced that there would be a pool party that afternoon for the young people (young adults) at one of the members homes.

What if we are teaching them and they just ignore it?

Or what if the church is teaching it and the parents don't support it?

I'm blessed in that my two older girls do not like that kind of stuff. Even my 20 year old called me last year from work because she grabbed her small work shirt instead of her medium and she needs a camisole under the small so she doesn't show her back when she bends over. I had to run up there with the cami to change into. :)

But my girls grew up at home. They were taught that dressing modestly shows that they are confident in themselves and don't need to show off what doesn't need to be shown to anyone. There are plenty of girls out there who do show it off - they just don't need to join them. :)

    Thirty year old girl?

Anyway, what's the solution? If modesty is being preached and the mothers and daughters are ignoring it, what then?

    Then DISCIPLINE them.

Then the church needs to DISCIPLINE the parents.

Praise God that some of them get it:applause:

If the picture is so offensive to the OP and it brings forth male members talking about "big breasted women" and "g-strings", then I think there was no need for the picture in the first place.

It's hard to tell if someone is truly indignant when he posts the very pictures he is indignant about and keeps on posting laughing smilies in replies to people.

I think we all know what immodesty is without brandishing the photos and talking about women's body parts.

I'd much prefer a discussion on how churches (which I don't see this type of garb either) could do instead of posting pictures that are supposed to be "immoral" and giving explicit descriptions of the parts of women's bodies that offend us so terribly.

It never changes around here. We ALL know what the problems are - but no one seems to want to do anything except to gripe about it.

Wouldn't the proper thing to do is to have some of the women in the church instruct these gals as to modest clothing (so that they don't embarrass themselves).

Seriously, it is difficult for any man to start preaching womens clothing selections from the pulpit without drawing disdain from everyone.

I agree, Zaac. There is ZERO reason to post pictures like that on a site that is majority men, or even 50-50. Perhaps in an all-female setting those pictures could be used for illustration purposes.

    What were you thinking?

I think we all agree that parent's need to discipline & disciple their daughters regarding dress. And it should be both parents, because in some cases it is the Father who "gets it", and can recognize the difference between "cute" and "suggestive."

Regarding church discipline, I'm curious as to what steps you think might be taken in the case of a church member parent who's non-member (non-believer) child dresses provocatively?

I, too, would like to know the steps of church discipline for improper clothing. I know the steps and where to find them; I'm curious as to how Zaac thinks this would play out in a church where either the pastor allows it, or the people are ignoring what the pastor preaches.

Your assuming that the mother & father know what dressing like a lady really it. What if they come from a dysfunctional, Alcoholic, abusive, or broken family?

This is just the tip of the iceberg! drugged kids, tatoos, Piercings, cigarettes, promiscuity, hanging around with the wrong crowds....these are all cries for help.
