To be fair here, how would you see it, in regards to salvation of sinners!

You may not get as many responses as you hoped, since most Baptists I know consider themselves neither Calvinist nor Arminian.

The majority of Baptists do not believe in salvation by works, not in falling from grace, they could not be Arminian.

Some Baptists consider themselves "four-point" Calvinists, but reject the idea of Limited Atonement Still more Baptists would describe themselves as "three-point" Calvinists. But when it comes down to it, unless you're a "five-pointer," you're not really a Calvinist.

I'm looking forward to this discussion.

Besides the obvious main contention of God's sovereignty vs free will, one of the main points that bothers me is, why is it one can in their own right choose their salvation, but once salvation is attained, why is it impossible to have the ability to lose it? In other words, IMO, self determination in salvation is not compatable with eternal security.

So many of our bethren here seem to hold a faulty view as to what calvinism actually teaches, just wanted to make sure weare not misrepresenting their side of salvation!

it is, IF you hold that the Election of God towards a sinner to be a saint is irrovocable, and you can , I think, as the lord has sealed us with/by the HS until that day he reclaims us, and that jesus as high Priest continually intervenes to save to the uttermost ALl who come nigh unto him!
