ALL those adressed in chapters 1-3 in Romans are lost peoples, paul was just showing why each were wtrong in being lost!

Paul had the revealtions from jesus, same jesus who promised NEVER to leave or forsake His own, so paul would NOT teach as you allege him to be doing!

Romans 1:14-17 is explicitly referencing the [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Gospel condition[/FONT][FONT=&quot].

Romans 2:4 the [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Gospel condition[/FONT][FONT=&quot] of the call to repentance.

Romans 2:4-13 the [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Gospel result of the perseverance[/FONT][FONT=&quot] of the saints and the eternal reward - applied explicitly to BOTH Jews and Gentiles.

Romans 2:13-16 the case of Gentiles who are approved in the [/FONT][FONT=&quot]future Gospel Judgment[/FONT][FONT=&quot].

Romans 2:25-29 the explicit reference to Gentiles - who are born-again,[/FONT][FONT=&quot] new hearts, new creations[/FONT][FONT=&quot], the work of the Holy Spirit.

The details in Romans 2 that your man made traditions "need to ignore" are much more transparent to the unbiased objective reader than you appear to have imagined.

Rom 2:25-29 specifically speaks to the regenerated - new heart, [/FONT][FONT=&quot]new creation[/FONT][FONT=&quot] work of the Holyl Spirit.

so also does Rom 2:14-16 speak of that work done on the heart of the gentiles.

The "Fiction" that Romans 2 starts with "no need to repent because if you have never sinned then you are going to heaven" is flatly debunked by the opening context of the text that the Gospel "goodness and kindness " of God "[/FONT][FONT=&quot]LEADS you to repentance[/FONT][FONT=&quot]" Rom 2:4.

In the context of [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Gospel repentance[/FONT][FONT=&quot] then we have the "perseverance" of Rom 2:7 -- and eternal life mentioned there.

We have the "[/FONT][FONT=&quot]Gospel judgment[/FONT][FONT=&quot]" of Rom 2:13-16.

we notice (the Romans 2 succeeding examples) "going to heaven" in Rom 2:7, 10 and even approved of in the "Gospel judgment" in Rom 2:13-16 and in fact having their hearts changed - with the manifest fruits of obedience showing it in Rom 2:25-29.

So then - what about the "Gospel" and the "Saved" also in Romans 2??

[FONT=&quot]The saved in Romans 2 get “Eternal life” vs 7. They are “Justified” in vs 13.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]They have the New Covenant promise of the Law written on the heart and mind in vs 15.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]They are judged as those being under the “Gospel” in vs 16.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]They are circumcised in the heart by the Holy Spirit in vs 29 and found to be a “Jew inwardly”.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Those who turn a blind eye to the "perseverance" examples in Romans 2 and the "good tree" in Matt 7 will see only failure in those chapters. But I see [/FONT]

I guess those General Baptists had it right after all.

No surprise then that the "Baptist Confession of Faith 1689" sounds a lot like Romans.

We have the new nature from God in us when born again, have the HS indwelling us...

Will god forsake Himself?

Will God have us turn and forsake Himself?

Wouldn't that mean my Will to leave greater than God power to keep me?

Romans 2 addresses the lost gentile, trying to get right with God apart from Chrsit, just as Romans 3 address self rightous jews!

NOT talking to saved in romans 1-3!
