It appears that Russia may not be as godless as people think.

They learned their lesson. Communists were open to it in the early days of Communist Russia. But the disasterous affects were seen early on and Stalin banned it in the 30's.

This presupposes that being "anti-gay" or believing homosexuality is a form of godliness... it isn't. Hitler was opposed to homosexuality. Are we to assume that Nazi Germany "got it right"? Seems to me the standard for what is godly and what isn't is morphing.

I would think that Russia has also outlawed murder.

    Here is the answer

The point I am trying to make is that governments make many laws that deal with morality.

Its also illegal in the US for a person to view child p0rn.

Crabby, Would that be a violation of the First Amendment?

(FTR, I am NOT in favor of legalizing such activity)

I do not see how viewing something would fall under free speech. So, I do not believe outlawing viewing child pron would be a violation of the 1st amendment.

Flag burning is legal under the 1st, remember a recent case: n United States v. Alvarez the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on June 28, 2012, that the Stolen Valor Act was an unconstitutional abridgment of the freedom of speech under the First Amendment.

As I stated before - governments constantly pass laws based on morality. I believe it to be immoral to wear a military decoration you have not earned - but according to the USSC - it is legal. :tear:
