Is Obama Starting A War With Syria Just To Distract Us From All The Scandals?

Well, isn't that convenient? At the moment when the Obama administration is feeling more heat then ever before, it starts another war. Suddenly everyone in the mainstream media is talking all about Syria and not about the IRS scandal, Benghazi, NSA snooping or any of the other political scandals that have popped up in recent weeks. As if on cue, Obama made headlines all over the globe on Thursday by claiming that the Syrian government has used chemical weapons against the rebels "multiple times", and that the U.S. was now ready to do more to assist the rebels. That assistance is reportedly going to include "military support" for the rebels and a no-fly zone over at least part of Syria is being discussed. Without a doubt, these are acts of war, and this conflict is not going to end until Assad has been ousted. But Assad will not go quietly. And all it would take is for Assad to fire a couple of missiles at Tel Aviv for a huge regional war to erupt in the Middle East. And what happens if Russia or China decides to get involved in the conflict in Syria? Obama is playing with fire, but he has shown again and again that he is willing to do virtually anything if it will benefit him politically.

    CONTINUE . . .

It's possible he already has. He kills kids at weddings and backyard BBQs.

Or a Chinese embassy? The drone ranger.

I think Assad is the best of the lot in Syria. And, yes, I think that Democrats start foreign wars to distract from their domestic failures--Wilson, FDR, Truman, LBJ. I am more worried about Turkey falling into the hands of the Islamists, which seems to have happened, than I am about Syria, which has been in a rut for 3 or 4 decades and we have done nothing. There are signs that the military is not interested and Lindsay Graham should find something to do besides go on tv all the time. How can we afford a no-fly zone in any sense? Why does John McCain want to help the liberals all the time? We were next door in Iraq and couldn't wait to get out. Arabs are tribal and do not get along with each other. It is their world which is collapsing. Let it.

That's part of it....Bill Clinton taught us that trick. The other part of the equation is that he wants radical fundamentalists to take power in the Middle East. That was his goal in Libya IMO.
McCain goes along with these things just because he's an idiot and preposterously naive. (He at least thinks he's doing the right thing)

Why would he need to start a war to distract us, I thought we were already hypnotized into a stupor by multi-national corporations and international bankers?

Seriously, WE can do nothing about it. Obama has his 2nd term and the only people that need to keep their eyes on the scandals are the Republicans in Congress. Oh, but I forget, they're all cut from the same cloth, controlled by investment bankers on Wall Street.

That's what governments do when they get caught committing crimes.

Not all of us and our numbers are growing.

That's the attitude that got us in this mess.

You mean the republicans in congress that Obama told his war making powers come from the UN and the "international community" not the constitution and the congress? The same republicans in congress that said gee whiz that worries us but not enough to do anything about it? You mean those republicans in congress?

You mean the same republicans in congress that read the NDAA and helped give Obama the power to execute American citizens with no due process? You mean those republicans in congress?

Here the head of British intelligence was reporting back to his government after a trip to Washington in the summer of 2002:

“Military action was now seen as inevitable. Bush wanted to remove Saddam, through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy.”

That is exactly what the Obama Administration is doing with Syria: fixing the intelligence and facts around the already determined policy. And Congress just goes along, just as they did the last time.

You mean those republicans in congress?

That's like saying . . . "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck it's a koala bear".

At this point it's your word against the founder's warnings, thousands of years of history and a mountain of evidence. No offense dude but I'm going with the founder's warnings the lessons of history and the mountain of evidence.

"It's clear the republic no longer functions" Queen Amidala

Actually you aren't far off Blackbird. The Star Wars script is closer to the truth than what we hear from the conglomerated corporate news networks.

Eh...I don't think he's doing this for that reason. Its far more sinister. (But I do agree that he has a habit of trying to distract from his problems...such as discussing nuclear arms when we have the NSA scandal, Benghazi and any number of other scandals that have rocked his administration.)

What I do think he's doing is this:

I think he's in bed with the Muslim Brotherhood, The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Iranian regime. This bloc of regimes and organizations is now becoming the greatest Islamist radical lobby ever to penetrate and infiltrate the White House, Congress, the State Department and the main decision making centers of the US government.

Obama has always been sympathetic to Islam and now he's trying to help them. Ask yourself Why are the bureaucracies in Washington partnering with Islamists in the region and not with their natural allies the democracy promoting political forces?

Not too long ago at FBI headquarters FBI Director Mueller secretly met with a coalition of groups including various Islamist and militant Arabic groups who in the past have defended Hamas and Hezbollah and have also issued blatantly anti-Semitic statements. At this meeting, the FBI revealed that it had removed more than 1000 presentations and curricula on Islam from FBI offices around the country that was deemed "offensive."

In an effort to understand and placate Syrian opposition groups, Hillary Clinton invited them to a meeting in Washington. Most of those invited, however, have links to the Muslim Brotherhood. Missing from the invitations are Kurdish leaders, Sunni liberals, Assyrians and Christian spokesmen.

According to various reports the State Department made a deal with Turkey and Muslim Brotherhood representatives either to share power with Assad to stabilize the government, or replace him if this effort fails.
Over the past year or so, Israel has been warned by a succession of senior military and administration officials not to attack Iran, all in the name of giving sanctions a chance. But who believes that sanctions will stop Iran? And who believes that that the U.S. will in the end attack Iran to stop them?

So while Obama is supporting the Muslim Brotherhood, he is keeping Israel under his thumb.

Ask yourself why Sheikh Abdullah Bin Bayyah was able to secure a meeting with President Barack Obama at the White House on June 13, despite his radical associations. This Muslim scholar has been associated with the radical Islamist group Hamas and campaigned for the U.N. to criminalize blasphemy. He is also the deputy of Egyptian cleric Yusuf Qaradawi, who was banned from the United States for his radical statements.

Who could have imagined there would be a day when our President would ever allow Islamic radicals, people who hate Israel, to visit the White House?

This administration has a view of Islamic radicals that is drastically different from previous administrations.

Who'd have ever imagined the son of one of the Bush's business partners would turn out to be public enemy number one 1? Yes I'm talking about the Bin Laden and Carlyle Groups.

Al Qaeda and Muslim Extremists are what the CIA call intelligence assets. They've been using them as proxy forces in numerous "kinetic military actions" aka unconstitutional illegal immoral regime changes going back to the Afghan vs Soviet war.

Using Muslim Extremists as proxy forces was SOP in foreign policy long before Obama's head was the size of a grape. I gotta admit though that Obama's shady history makes for a great cover and distraction. Obama's short shady history of supporting Muslim extremists is small potatoes compared to the long shady history of the CIA supporting Muslim extremists. Obama is a media created corporate brand name. He's the face on the tube. He's the hand that wields the pen. He's a teleprompter reading puppet of the global elite. His job is to keep us all focused on him instead of those he serves.

Why? The media would go into overdrive to demonize him, then the democrats and republicans would ridicule him with great big smiles on their faces and 75% of Americans would say he doesn't have a chance to win and call him "a nut".

We don't want men of honor and integrity anymore. We want men that tell us the lies we want to hear, promise us something for nothing and swear to keep us all safe from the Islamic extremists they'll just end being lobbyists for anyway.
