Rush Limbaugh has nothing to do with conservative values. He is a self indulgent, pill popping, womanizing, sacreligious, gluttonous slob. Anyone with any sense of self worth will be the switch to "off" when the loud mouth broadcasts on the radio.

"9[Jesus] also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt: 10“Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayeda thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. 12I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ 13But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ 14I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”" - Luke 18:9-14

So, which of these two men are you?

There's several choices when it comes to the point of the OP:
    1. Rush Limbaugh
    2. children
    3. liberals
    4. the "R" word

What is the point you were trying to make?

Neither one, except the second one when I was saved. I never made any distinction like the first example except to say I do not make money off using God's name in vain, I am happily married, do not pop pills, do not weigh 400 lbs, etc, Any more questions?

That's because it's twice now that your words have warranted it.

You posted a total non sequitur twice. Why?

I don't believe it's a non-sequiter. I believe that when somebody says something like that, it's appropriate to post a passage of scripture that addresses the attitude presented in those words.

Unlike the Pharisee in the passage Saturneptune was not praying, nor was he talking about other men in general, nor was he comparing himself to anyone. He did not say anything about his own spiritual state or practices. Neither did he exalt himself.

So it's a random quotation of scripture with no application to this thread--a non sequitur.

And the link has nothing to do with Rush Limbaugh. Salty's right ... no one has watched the video. Had you done so, you would know it wasn't Limbaugh that used this offensive word -- and my sister has Downs' Syndrome, so I have the right to be offended -- but Bill Maher. Jokes on you.

"I do this! I do that! Not like that dirtbag, Rush Limbaugh!"

Exactly the same. Thus, not a non-sequitur.

I would have to agree with JohnDeereFan on this.

The OP is kind of deceptive, since the video doesn't mention Rush at all.

Isn't it funny how a rumor about someone saying something will cause many to automatically focus on the bad traits in the one to have allegedly said something offensive.

This should be a lesson to all, check sources before spreading rumors and slandering someone.

I think he's a hoot! I've enjoyed as many belly laughs from listening to him as any comedian. Egad people, Limbaugh is an entertainer. I usually tune him in when I'm driving and he's on the air; get caught up on the political hot topics AND get some laughs at the same time.

[Bill] Maher Calls Palin's Son Retarded

Is Rush even mentioned in that clip? I don't think so.

So what's your point in bringing Limbaugh into this?

    [add]

...and Palin's no 'Liberal', she is LORINO* to the hilt.
