The NFL has banned large pocketbooks.

Is it for security or to make sure you don't sneak food in to the game. (which means you would have to pay those ultra-inflated concession prices)

I gave up on the NFL years ago.

I might watch an NFL game on TV every now and then, but if I'm going to a game, it will be a college game.

Between Auburn and Rutgers, we go to four or five college games a year. Never had a problem taking food in either one of those stadiums.

A few years ago, when I lived in New Jersey and still cared about the NFL, the Eagles had "Hoagiegate", an outside food related scandal. They eventually relented and let people bring in outside food.

When I was a kid, I remember taking entire coolers of food to the Vet and there was never any problem.

Wow, I am decidedly "below average." I've never spent anywhere near that much in my life at any game. Never been to an NHL game, but they haven't had the NHL in Kansas City for 31 years. I'm old enough, but never went.

How do you spend that kind of money? Buy out the concession stand and the team shop? Good grief!
