How do you reconcile the following ideas:

    A. Matthew 28 - Go and make disciples.

    B. 1 Thess. 4:11 - and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we commanded you

They are complementary, not exclusive. What Paul told the Thessalonians is witness of the life possible in Christ, and gives one the chance to share that life with others.

    Finish out the B. verse.

"Yet we urge you, brothers and sisters, to do so more and more, and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody."

If people respect you they will be much more apt to listen to you when you try to make a disciple of them.

we are to share the gospel by love and not through strife and being loud.

    Agree

    2 Timothy 2:1-4 seems to compliment 1 Thessalonians 4:11

2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
