I see Arminianism theology all throughout this website and having read one of his books and all the quotations from Soren Kierkagard and existentialism, and all the focus on the fulfillment of SELF, glorifying my life, and such its obvious this persons teachings are questionable. He does not teach to seek work for Gods glory, but for my glory. For that his book(s) are very different than the ones below, which have a Biblical view on work.

    Disciplines of a Godly Man
    Dont Waste your Life
    Success Gods Way

I know there are plenty of Arminian on this board. I have to wonder how they will reply and defend these teachings? Sure I am not saying everything on the site is bad, nor every sentence he wrote in that book was bad, but there was enough to conclude that he has a wrong view on work and promotes arminianism all throughout the book.

There are almost no arminians on this board. And the there is nothing wrong with the title of those books. Acknowledging our responsibility in how we live our lives is appropriate. Talk about blowing things out of proportion.

I can't and won't defend the author or the books you posted a link to; I haven't read them, don't know anything about them or him.

But I'll defend arminianism this way: you continue to confuse arminianism and pelagianism.

"Arminianism" as a Theology/Soteriology and "Existentialism" as a Philosophy have little or nothing to do with one another. Some things (philosophically) that Kierkegaard said were correct.....and that's why anyone bothers talking about him at all. He did have some positive influence, but nearly EVERY modern philosopher, whether they are Godless materialists or Christians rejects "Existentialism" as a view. It's simply an inadequate P.O.V. Kierkegaard was a Theologian by trade (and that's about the only link between "Existentialism" and Theology at all) but he was most famous for his Philosophy. "Existentialism" though, has little or nothing to do with "Arminianism". I don't know where you get your information from, but you might try some different sources.

There are certainly several I know of who claim to be arminians without shame, and once one realizes that one can be an arminian and still hold to eternal security, or be unsure about it, it opens it up to more. Arminius himself was undecided on the issue.

Now, perhaps many of those would not with to be called arminians, and if so we should allow them that courtesy, but many certainly agree with arminians on most of the primary issues...just as many who would stay they are not calvinists nonetheless agree with calvinism on many issues.

As others have said: Arminianism DOES NOT EQUAL Devoting your work to self rather than God.

Cals, Arms, and everything in between can do this, and must fight the temptation to do so.

Perhaps I do. Can you please explain the differences?

I never said they were related. All I implied was that both the philosophy and arminian theology are wrong and that author is wrong. I know of plenty of Arminians (Norm Geisler for one) that rebuff Existentialism and PostModernism, etc..
