Skirts update

    Although I haven't been able to find many skirts that I feel are God honoring enough, I do have some . Its the tops I am having difficulty with. BUT the good news is I have been in skirts for a few months now, 4 months to be exact. and I LOVE IT. I look and feel more feminine, and I happy that I am doing another thing to be set apart more for the world to see.

    I wish I had done this years ago, but I let society and other close friends tell me how prudish I was being, every time I put on a long skirt. I am older and wiser now and what I found was that pleasing GOD is never prudish, or shameful. I also decided to buy a cheap little sewing machine to start making my own skirts. One way or another, I will have them. I LOVE wearing skirts :love2:

    I am happy that you now feel God-honoring in your wardrobe. I'm glad that you feel feminine and set apart. I hope you get really good with that sewing machine because I am blumbering idiot with mine. LOL!!!!

    I, for one, don't feel that wearing skirts all the time is prudish. I'm sorry that you felt that others felt that about you.

    Just a counterpoint, not a criticism. I feel very God-honoring and feminine in my britches. :laugh: :flower: My suits, dress pants, and blue jeans don't affect the way that I feel about bringing honor to God.

    But, I'm glad that - as a woman - you have settled this for yourself and feel good about it. :flower:

    Britches LOL My pastor calls them that. We all laugh when he says it. He let us all know when he took over the duty of pastor last fall, that he don't care if women wear pants or not. I just like the skirts for myself and my grand daughter loves her dresses and skirts too.

    Funny because the other day my father , catholic and 84 said" when women wear pants they look like they are trying to dress like a man" . My parents live with me so maybe dad is getting used to me being in skirts all the time and that's what he is used to.... Hmmmmm
