It is being reported that Dingy Harry and the GOP Senator from Nevada got a provision into the immigration bill that allows the government to spend up to $100 million a year promoting Las Vegas tourism. I guess that proves that Dingy Harry is not crazy. It also makes me wonder if the mob didn't overbuild Vegas after all if they have to have federal help in advertising.

The GOP seems to want the immigration bill because of all the cheap labor that will become available.

Cheap shot that can't be factually substantiated.

It goes to motive. I cannot understand why else the GOP would want this bill. How do you explain what the GOP Senators are doing? The iron law of wages says that wages will be forced to the floor. By the way, I should have added that the criminal element wants the border open for all of the drugs that enter and all of the money made from that.

Perhaps this is true, I dunno. But I do think this sort of thing happens all the time. I also think its part of the problem of wasteful spending in our govt.

I don't know what, if anything, the people can do to stop this practice though.

I"m sure the KKK uses the same excuses when they smear minorities with similar unfounded speculations. No offense, but to claim that the GOP supports any bill because it "creates cheap labor" from a minority workforce is nothing more than pure bigotry, even if stated "tongue in cheek.".

One thing we do know for sure CMG, it's got nothing to do with NAFTA, the NAU and the SPP or the "deeper international integration" between the US, Mexico and Canada the republicans agreed to abide by in these treaties. It's just not "factually substantiated".
