The phrases "with the Spirit" and "in the Spirit" are inseparable when it comes to the life manifested under the leadership of the Spirit. Either you operate "in" or "with" the flesh or "in or "with" the Spirit. There are no other options.

Every spiritual gift is operated "in the Spirit" through the human spirit as the human spirit is the human agency through which the indwelling Spirit operates all spiritual gifts.

Hence, to "pray in the Spirit" or "pray with the Spirit" signifies the same thing. The only nuance is "with" refers to "means" used by the Holy Spirit which may refer to the human "spirit" and "in" refers to the "sphere" of activity of both human and Divine Spirit.

Our spirit bears witness with His Spirit. They are in UNION together and so they are inseparable whenever the will of the Spirit is being manifested in the life of the Believer.

Hence, to "pray in the spirit" or "pray with the spirit" in reference to a child of God always refers to the leadership of the Holy Spirit being manifested through the human spirit. Every spiritual gift is manifested "with" the human spirit and operates "in the Spirit."

NOT a referring to gifts of personal prayer tongues, but in prayers that are energized/guided/enabled/directed by the person of the HS in and thru us...

To pray in boldness and conviction to the Father, in Jesus name...
