We all have trials and tribulations. During these periods, with faith and the presence of the Lord in our lives, we grow as Christians. Some come along unavoidable. I read an article some time back, and do not recall where, that stated that if we as Christians obeyed the Lord and lived a Christ like life, perhaps those rough periods in our lives would be at least 70% less. Do you agree with this?

I do not agree. In fact if we all lived like we are all called to and actually took up our cross the trials and tribulations would be ten fold.

I agree for the ones that are based on wrong choices (doing something illegal at work, for example or cheating on a spouse).

But for general stuff, I don't agree. I don't think my daughter's baseball sized pancreatic tumor and almost dying from it had anything to do with sinful lifestyles.

Shew!! Boy that's a relief. I thought you were posting "Sammy's" owner had finally gotten ahold of you and was putting you on trial for theft by unlawful taking. That, or the Presbyterian was doing it. Sooner or later, one or both, are gonna nail you.

I agree with your last sentence and praise God she is ok. That is not what I am talking about. For example, if one fails to prepare for retirement knowing that Social Security was never meant to be an exclusive source of income, then reaps the consequences of that decision, whose fault it is they live from month to month barely making it?

    Amen, Rev!

I wholeheartedly agree....I have discovered that some of my most serious trial have come during and especially after I have done things for the Kingdom.

Let me explain....for twenty-four years we sang all over the Southern California area for Jesus. And during our ministries we never had less than ten people come forward for an alter call! Some of the groups were as large as 150+, and we knew, that regardless of the outcome of each ministry, we could expect some form of spiritual attack by the enemy.

This led us to start covering ourselves, our home, car, finances, health, pets, and all our possessions prior to, during and after ministry dates, in order to avoid an onslaught of trials and tribulations coming at us for the work we did at those revivals and concerts.

We even had a prayer team that blanketed and stood in the gaps of our individual, marital and ministry hedge.

Rev hit it on the head...someone once said that if you are not being attacked, tried and tempted, you must not be posing a threat to the devil. I choose to not be complacent or insignificant when it comes to the Kingdom here on earth. I plan to shake, rattle and roll the work of the devil by preaching a loud and proud Gospel, fearing no man, or minion!

    U r....

Welcome! I love to share His truths. Often people don't realize this part of the life in Jesus, but Paul told us our war and fight is not against the flesh of those around us, rather it is a battle in the heavenlies, a supernatural war, that unless we are dressed in the armor, we will lose!
