Every thread I post, I am followed around by several Calvinist posters who derail the thread, (one even told me to go play in traffic and transport back in time as Michael Servetus), attack me personally (even on my race) and then run to their favorite Calvinist administrator to close the threads, regardless of the topic.

I gave worthy documentation about the origins of Calvinism, and the thread gets closed. Yet others are allowed to call King James Only adherents CULT members, and Calvinists repeatedly affirm that since "Calvinism is the gospel" that Non Calvinists and Arminians are not saved. Calvinists are allowed to attack Non Calvinists views and it's "not personal". A Non Calvinist attacks a Calvinist view and all hell breaks loose and we get accused of saying their moms are ugly.

One poster posts with IMPUNITY on here about the name of Christ in which he attacks every believer on here, but since he shares CALVINIST soteriology, he gets a pass.

When I came here the sign said BAPTIST Board. But there should be a caveat when you sign up "CALVINIST ONLY, all others to the back of the bus".

Oh, and let me just say this, that "His Witness", there's no way with the amount of havoc "he" causes and blasphemes the name of Christ that that is any normal account. There's only one reason an account like that could possibly be permitted to even be among Baptists. YOU FIGURE IT OUT. Doesn't take a rocket scientist.

Check out some of the threads on "Sympathy For the Arminian", and all of the "A Passage Many Struggle With" "Another Passage Many Struggle With" that is directed right at Non Calvinists, and then tell me there's no biased against the Non Calvinists on here.

Thanks for posting this DrJ, it took me just a minute to read your post, and you've just saved me an hour today as it won't be necessary to tune in to Dr.Phil and hear a sob story about some poor victim of oppression and circumstances.:sleep::sleep:

You know, everyone here is just a guest. If you come in here throwing your weight around and spouting off about how great you are, don't be surprised to come here someday and find the door locked.

And by the way, Congratulations- you are now the second honored guest to join my ignore list.

Play the martyr; play the pariah.

Most others here, whether Calvinists or Arminians, can play nice with others. You have demonstrated that you simply cannot do so--you are either unable or unwilling.

This inability or unwillingness has nothing to do with your nationality, your ethnicity, your race, your theology, or what version of the Bible you prefer to use. It has everything to do, however, with you as a person.

You demonstrate at almost every turn an outright hatred of Calvinists. Now, I don't know if a Calvinist wronged you in the past and you are simply demonstrating "transference" to all who identify as Calvinists, but it doesn't matter. You are either unable or unwilling--regardless of your theology--to show deference and charity.

You have not followed Romans 12:10 "Love one another with brotherly affection. Out do one another in showing honor." and you have not followed Ephesians 4: "...walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." (ESV)

All of us have challenges in these discussions, but your track record is both inability and unwillingness. You simply demonstrate hatred toward your brothers and sisters in Christ who identify themselves as Calvinists.

Not everything can be taught in institutes of higher learning and the epithet "Dr," whether real or fake, cannot add true charity. Friend: Be different.

    Pot meet kettle:

Playing the martyr and pariah, sounds familar Same thing you said to Van

"Boy Oh Boy! You could not be more wrong! I'm actually here at my computer laughing because you clearly have no earthly idea about this."

"You will never learn, not because you are fundamentally incapable, but because you incapacity is a result of a stolid unwillingness to learn from those who actually know."

    "Your insolence is simply stunning."

And that's just one thread, and I didn't list all of them in THAT thread.

Your very FIRST post to me on only my second post on this forum, before I ever wrote one word to you.

"I'll just say that I am glad that I now belong to a Baptist group that does not have to publish such articles to toot their own horn or to cover up well-known heresies and sins by attacking their critics."http://www.baptistboard.com/showpost.php?p=1981081&postcount=5

You assumed that because I was IFB that I support Hyles and Schaap and never read the articles on my site on where I stood on that. The article I wrote was why fundamentalists don't listen to the "Do Right" crowds and the Gay Rights attacks on us, and that was the response you gave me before I'd ever had any interaction with you.

This shouldn't surprise us really. When we are correct we can count on being attacked by those who are in error.

You really need to learn what "Playing the martyr and Playing the Pariah" means.

Also, to point out Van's error is not to attack him (though I'm sure he'd disagree). In my postings to Van, though viewed as harsh by some, I am seeking to correct his errors and warn others.

In your postings, you refer to all Calvinists as racists, anti-Semites, and Satan-worshipers. Big difference...apples and Volkswagens.

What is more, when people take exception to what I've written to Van (note: not "about him"), I take responsibility for what has been written. You, on the other hand, go--almost immediately--to "why's everyone hatin' on me." That, friend, is playing the martyr or the pariah.

Wasn't planning to add anything but came across this illustration this morning ...

One pastor tells the story of a time when they owned a van which had large side mirrors and chrome bumpers. Remember those? Occasionally, one of the cardinals living in their area would attack the bumpers or mirrors, thinking his reflection was another bird.

One day, as this pastor watched the cardinal assail the mirror, he thought to himself, “What a foolish creature; his enemy is merely the reflection of himself.” The pastor writes, “Immediately the Lord spoke to my heart, ‘And so also are many of your enemies the reflection of yourself.’”

    I'll restate my challenge.

Can you go, not a day, not 6 hours, but a mere 4 hours without posting something about Calvinism?

Truly sad to see that some can't.

I have. So has Van. So has DHK.

They have strong disagreement with me, and we have conducted extensive discussions without name calling and bitterness.

Sure, we also post negative to the view we don't hold - and often.

But the challenge has been met in the past.

For those who have stated they can't, would it be unfair to ask to at least make a college try?

One can discuss Scriptures - even heatedly - without resorting to put downs, disparaging words, but actually desire truth be the central focus.

This board puts me in the mind of an episode of the Dukes of Hazzard. Bo and Luke were on probation for moonshining, and Boss Hogg was always trying to find a way to get their probation revoked to send them to the state pen, he, being their probation officer. One time he had them locked up, and their uncle, Jessie Duke, was talking all sweet to Boss and about how he loved those boys. He even went so far as to call him "Boss". They had been moonshiners together years ago in a group called "The Ridgerunners" so he always called Boss "J.D.". When Boss told him he didn't know if he could get them off because the charges were pretty bad, Jesse went into a rant and said, "Why you old reprobate! I even went as far as to call you "Boss"!! I even went so far as to take my hat off!!"

We talk all sweet and all when we agree, or when we are trying to get something we want, but when we don't find agreement, the hatred flows like a flood.......
