Suppose in the upcoming election for President you learned that your favorite candidate, a pro-life, traditional marriage type of candidate, was employing openly gay people in their campaign at key positions? Would it change your opinion of that candidate?

For the sake of argument let's say it was Rand Paul or Marco Rubio, for example, but it could be anyone that campaigns on right-wing social issues.

I would be thankful if he were to employ happy people. Now if you are talking about h0mosexuals - it would make me think twice about my support for such a man.....

The McDonald's that I eat at occasionally has a manager who is gay. Doesn't stop me from eating there.

The guy who changes my oil might be gay, but he does a good job.

Not to excuse the sin, but if a person is good at what he or she does, I would not look down upon the person employing them.

The ONE obvious exception being church positions.

It wouldn't. I'm against the sin of homosexuality because it places those who practice it at enmity with God and places them in danger of facing His wrath on Judgment Day, not because I want to punish homosexuals.

I'm against homosexuality for the same reason I'm against somebody sitting on his couch, watching Gilligan's Island while the house is on fire around them: because they're going to DIE if don't get out and that would be a bad thing.

Any politician I support is already going to have sinners on his staff. In fact, he may even be a sinner himself! (The obvious exception being Ronald Reagan.)

I love homosexuals. I want them to repent and receive Christ and get out from under their sin so they can be forgiven, reconciled, and even adopted as children of God.

So let my favorite politicians hire all of the homosexuals they want. As long as they're upholding the principles I put them in office to protect, what do I care?

I would ask why a GOP candidate was employing a Democrat? (Am I going to get in trouble for saying that!)

I wouldn't care about their orientation. All that matters to me is the platform. A gay person who understands the constitution would be preferable to the unschooled liberals who make our laws.

Do tell. And, while you're at it, could you please explain why so many of his actions show an ignorance of the Constitution?

He studied it, but he does not understand it.

But OTOH, a candidate that ITL is describing sounds like another linguini-spined pandering big-government type and he most likely wouldn't get my vote anyway.

What a beautiful display of Christian love it is to use a term like "faggot"...

And anyways this is no different from someone employing an adulterer or indeed an unconverted person on a campaign. I'm pretty virtually every major campaign has employed at least one adulterer or Jew or agnostic.

Excellent point. I did run for State Assy and then City Council. I would like to think if someone on my campaign staff was found to be committing adultery - I would expect their resignation. Same would go for someone who was openly endorsed the h0mosexaul lifestyle.

How about we substitute faggot for the more actual definition, I'm thinking 'queer '? Would you accept that?
