Funny you should say that! A nice(I think) young fellow / a Latino & his family just moved I to the neighborhood. When he started his 1st vegetable garden I helped him along and we were talking...come to find out that like me he is outa work & like me he is in sales. Now he is younger & speaks Spanish so he is more marketable because he supposidely can get into more markets. Well he just got a new job a month ago....I congratulated him... but the interesting thing I'm noticing is he is often out in the backyard during times I would think he should be working. Now maybe its me but if I started a job (particularly in sales) id be spending a ton of time in the field cultivating potential clients. Always operated off the belief that if I took any job that id perform like it was my own business (you know with expenses, planned worktime etc) especially the first 90 days of my initial employment....but that's me....& when I fill out an employment application I have declare myself white....not Latino black or American Indian. Does being white today mean I'm at a disadvantage--probably. Does being 56 yo put me at a disadvantage --don't know & does operating as an English only guy hurt me--oh yea. But I wouldn't be in my back yard at 2pm playing with my dog either...id be in the field working to bring in revenue for my boss. & using both my time & my 30 years experience for the betterment of myself and my company. So go figure!

In Scranton they have shootouts with the cops at that time. Bonus, you can shop in your jammies.
