In the second one he parrots most of my arguments against the homosexual rights movement.

It would only be parroting if you had those arguments first. :) :tonofbricks:

Then end your SS services. In our churches the pastor will teach to all...from parent to child to the old to the young. Then the parents do home study...not just on Sunday for an hour. More like every day...at the table with the whole family present.

Our church does have an integrated main service, but I don't know if you need to completely eliminate Sunday School. I am still thinking about that. If you DO have Sunday School, you definitely need to make it clear that it plays a support role to the parents, and does not take the place of home discipleship...

So, you don't let your kids do ANY study of the Bible that you are not a part of?

Lets see - Pastor teaches all in combined SS
Parent then teaches further to kids at home.

    1) how about kids whose parents do not come
    2) there are parents that will have trouble teaching
    3) would you take your children to a high school or college class with you and then explain to them more in detail at home - or would they learn more on an age apporiate leve.?
    4) Many adults (myself included) learn more when thery prepare to teach a class.

Lets see, what else did I miss?

This argument makes me downright angry. It is the responsibility of the parents to teach their children. PERIOD> to not instruct your children in the way of God (and of life) is to engage in the most GRIEVOUS sin. ALL parents (unless they are in a coma, or something), through God's grace, can instruct their children...anything else is just a lousy excuse.

Did you even watch the OP video?

Anyway, none of that happens in our churches so I have no answer for you except your expected to spend time with your family each week teaching scripture. We encourage the whole family & discourage "Dump & Runs" & thats a conversation we WILL HAVE WITH YOU if you pull that crap...very frowned on. Again we are talkin SBC right Salty? This has gotta be real different to you. Perhaps you should reach out to a "Old School Pastor" & speak to him

A lot of assuming above. Assuming that the pastor actually teaches AND that the 'parent' (singular for whatever reason above? also does this at home.

    Yes, what about it?

Where is this in Scripture? Where is such an excuse used?

A horrendous hypothesis and frankly a mess.

Everyone learns more when they genuinely study. Preparation and study should not be limited to teaching a class, it should also be employed WHENEVER a person teaches Scripture.

Bandwidth would be exceeded in answering that question. :type:

Big Sigh...... I keep reminding myself what Micah said (6:8)

Act Justly, love mercy & walk humbly in the Lord.

Then I think ....Nineveh was spared....we can change if we turn from our evil ways. I sincerely pray for that brethren.
