Reid goes ballistic on tea-party 'anarchists'

It seems that the Republicans in the Senate do not want to vote against Obamacare. It apparently is going to become effective October 1. The immediate result seems to be that people's hours will be cut to part-time. The wise thing for the Democrats would be to vote for a one year's delay in Obamacare but they refuse to compromise. I would like to see the Senate Republicans try to get re-elected if they vote against the House Republicans. I know that I am willing to vote against Coats next time if he sides with the Democrats on implementing Obamacare on October 1.

 

The reason Republicans are in such disarray in the Senate is their leadership, Senator Mitch McConnell. He has strong opposition in the primary next spring and hope he gets shellacked. To be honest, barring that, the Democrat that is likely to run against him in the general election is as conservative as Mitch is. Our other Senator, Rand Paul, is what a senator should be, one with a backbone.

 

McConnell may be in trouble but McCain is the chief troublemaker in the GOP. If Ted Cruz wins, he is likely to be the GOP nominee in 2016. The Wall Street crowd wants the government to keep borrowing and printing money because they are getting rich from all this. It will be very interesting to see what happens in Kentucky in 2014. As you suggest, SN, one reason that the GOP Senators want socialized medicine is that they are hoping for free backbone transplants.

 

I just learned about Cruz from the filibuster attempt. I did see a clip of him reading a Dr. Seuss book of "Green Eggs and Ham" at 2am. It was a noble gesture, but is not going to work or solve the problem. The people are going to have to rid us through the vote of most all Democrats and the spineless Republicans running around.

It is a shame how much we have degenerated. The last five Republican nominees for President, Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain, and Romney, are all to the left of the 1960 Democratic nominee, John Kennedy.

 

Follow the money to Sen. Reid's office

Big Pharma rewarded Reid nicely for his services by paying him tens of thousands of dollars. In fact, the money began flowing almost immediately after Tauzin first visited the White House back in July 2009.

According to news reports, drug giant Eli Lilly sent Reid a $5,000 check just two days after Tauzin's first visit to Washington. By the following Monday, Reid received two more $5,000 checks, one from PhRMA and one from Pfizer, the nation's largest drug company. And by the end of the following week, Merck and Astra-Zeneca sent their checks as well.

So in less than two weeks after a visit from a Big Pharma lobbyist, a single politician receives at least $23,000.

But that's just the money Reid received for the initial meeting. After successfully getting the bill passed, Big Pharma sent Reid plenty of "thank you" money for his compliance with their agenda. As of May 30, 2010, Reid's Big Pharma gifts totaled at least $154,000, setting him one place behind Big Pharma's number one man, Senator Richard Burr (R-NC).

It's important to note that Sen. Harry Reid, a Democrat, and Sen. Richard Burr, a Republican, hold the top two positions on Big Pharma's political donation payroll. Both political parties, you see, are deep in bed with Big Pharma.
