Democrats’ Biggest 2014 Weapon: Ted Cruz

Ted Cruz is a very articulate, intelligent, common sense person. He comes across very well and certainly understands the Constitution. His liability as you put it remains to be seen, depending on the outcome of the government shutdown and the debt ceiling.

His main problem is that he plays well to a minority in this nation, that is Texas, the South, and the Midwest to a degree. Still, even in an electoral college sense, he is a laughing stock on the West Coast, the Northeast, the Atlantic seaboard, and the industrial belt. We must capture some of these states to effect change. Ted Cruz does not harm the Constitutional cause, it is a matter of numbers of votes.

The moment must be seized now, as if present growth trends continue, Texas will fall into the Democrat (the Lord forbid) camp.

To his credit, Ted Cruz does not sound like a right wing wacko. Some of the twenty of so Tea Party Republicans do.

I think Ted would be an asset to make a change in this country if the numbers were there.

It is my opinion that the biggest harm to the Republican Party are its present leaders and recent nominees for President. Next year will be my first vote against Mitch McConnell, in both the primary and general election. What harms the Republicans are spineless, wishy washy, nor direction leaders.

 

I'm neutral on Ted Cruz. I can't decide if he is taking a principled stand or if he is grandstanding to get name recognition for a run at the Presidency. I think that after two Bushes and Rick Perry most of the nation would not welcome yet another Texan attempting to win the White House.

 

The Message of Ted Cruz and the Tea Party was very well accepted in 2010. Since then the DNC has worked to create a false narrative of racism etc. Then they worked to silence the Tea Party by using the IRS illegally to shut them down and keep them from obtaining funds to get the message out. And they are still doing it. The dems are scared to death of the Tea Party and Ted Cruz.

 

It is not possible for the dems to win the house this next time around. And if they put Shrillary up for elections well she is damaged goods since she lost an election.
