It is time to end abortion. For too long, the church in America has played half-hearted political games. For too long, we have compromised at the expense of millions of lives, and looked the other way while our elected “prolife” leaders have fought for everything else EXCEPT life. Why can the government be shut down to stop Obamacare, but not abortion? Are the lives of the unborn somehow less important than your insurance premium? Why is the economy the #1 issue, when we have a holocaust of WWII proportions occurring right here under our noses?

The only thing that will fix our nation is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Just as Elijah confronted the evil Ahab, and called him to repentance, so too MUST the Christians in this nation call for the repentance of their national leaders. Confront your leaders. Call them to repentance. Evangelize them…change the hearts of the leaders, through the power of Christ and His gospel, and you will change the direction of our Country.

The problem in the USA and the world is the Church. WE need to call us to repentance FIRST.

Now that doesn't mean we don't point them devils in D.C. who are outside the Church to Christ. But we need to deal with US.

If the Church were acting like the Church, neither Washington nor the world would be acting the way they are because they wouldn't have the power to do so.

One of the reasons nothing has been done about abortion is because churches have aligned themselves with political parties. Neither party really wants to do anything about abortion. The Dems surely don't and the GOP doesn't.

The Republican Party needs abortion just as much as the Dems do in order to distinguish themselves from the Dems. That's why they've never been serious about getting rid of it.

And that is why the Church needs to return to its first love and stand for CHRIST instead of political parties and crazy partisanship.

Repentance is stopping being apathetic, and getting involved.

The stopping of child murder does not need to wait. That needs to be a top priority. We need to do it NOW.

Yeah, that part I agree with. With the exception of a few principled politicians, they have done very little.

That is why we must #evangelizeourleaders ! Only men transformed by the Gospel of Christ, with new hearts, and new minds, can fight this battle.

Without Christ, there will continue to be apathy and compromise.

The Church has lost its seasoning in our culture, as we have adopted social morals that say gay rights/marriage.behaviour acceptable to God, that all religions get to God, that its more important to have a Black president than a Godly one in office, that we need to adopt more of the world ways ...

IF the Church was like the One described in Acts, we would be strong and fervant in prayers and preaching/teaching, and we would have a strong moral center, from thre Bible, NOT pupic opinion, nor cultural views anfd mandates!

    BINGO!!!!!

I don't know how many times I have been pressured by Christians that it is my God-given duty to vote for the Republican (no matter how corrupt).

    1. "A vote for the Democrat is a vote for Satan." (Ok. I can accept this almost 100% of the time.)
    2. "A vote for a third party candidate is a wasted vote. Any wasted vote is a vote for the Democrat."
    3. "Refraining from voting is shirking one's God-given duties to influence his nation for God. It's still the same as voting for the Democrat."
    4. "Ergo, a Christian eligible to vote MUST vote for the Republican. No if's, and's, or but's. Any other possibility is being directly responsible for God having to bring judgment on the nation. Do you want that blood on your hands?!"

Just to clarify - I was being facetious in post # 4

I normally (which means not always) vote on Line C - and that is NOT the Republican line.

Reason for that is due to the truth that IF those 2 parties ARE THE only VIABLE OPTIONS AVAILABLE...

Conservative republican moral/cultural values MUCH more aligned with the Bible than liberal Deoocratic ones!

    The difference is :
the liberals want the govt to be the sugar daddy,
and the conservatives want people to be responsible for their own actions

Truth is if people do what you are saying, become committed disciples, that last thing they will be worried about is America. Americans yes, America, no.

The Democratic party officially removed God from their party this year, so why would Christians support that mindset?

Actually think would be concerned for both, as long as we realise that we are citizens of heaven, but also concerned about how far this nation has fallen!
