Did I just see a dog hang ten? I swear that doggie stepped right up there at the last second on that part. I watched it twice now, gonna have to go see it again. LOL Someone give that dog a steak every day of his life for being so cool.

I'd guess Border Collie with Blue Heeler or Australian Cattle Dog. (Or...wait, aren't blue heelers and ACDs the same thing?)
I like the ticking marks on his coat.

See, these were always the kind of dogs that were my idol when I was obsessed with this kind of thing as a teenager--I wanted to teach my dog to do that kind of stuff.
People tended to consider me good at training my dogs to do tricks, but I never got up to this level. (And these days I don't have the time to devote to it. =/)

Border collies and other high energy athletic breeds tend to excel at this stuff. You can easily see why they are so commonly used for canine sports and why some of the top award winning dogs in these sports are these breeds.

They are eager to learn, and many need to be worked with like this in order to channel their energy to the right things. Don't exercise the mind of an active and hyper dog, and he will do it himself--in ways you don't like. Such as tearing up your house.

    Bingo.

Is Jumpy the Most Well-Trained Dog in America?

"You think Lassie had talent? Meet Jumpy, one of the most well-trained and intelligent dogs on the planet, from the looks of his impressive clip reel of tricks.

The border collie and blue heeler mix can do back flips, skateboard, leap through the air to impressive heights, dive into the pool, weave through cones, wake board, ride a scooter … and the list goes on and on and on. Video of his impressive stunts has racked up nearly 1.5 million views on YouTube since it was first posted......"

You want to see another incredible dog? Look up Jesse the Jack Russell Terrier. He also has an impressive bag of tricks and has even starred in a bunch if commercials. He had a small part in the movie Dog Hotel, too, I think.

What's neat is I actually knew him through a site called Dogster before he became "famous".

I also know of someone who has two Shelties and both of them have earned multiple titles in several canine sports, including fly ball, obedience, and rally obedience. They are also therapy dogs.
She used to have a blog about them, posting photos and videos of their tricks. But she hasn't updated it in several years.
