    Should Yankee fans root for the Red Sox because they are in the same Americian League

    OR

    should Yankee fans root for the National St Louis Cardinals since the Red Sox are arch rivals of the Yankees?

    Yankee fans should just sit quietly and say nothing. They are obnoxious enough when their team is playing. Why ask them to be obnoxious on someone else's behalf?

    Yeah, on some alternative reality parallel world.

    I'm a Twins fan first, than a Rays fan. I can't and won't watch a Red Sox/Yankees game even if it were the 7th game of the ALCS. It's maddening because their match-ups are frequently the game of the week.

    The only time a hardcore Yankee fan will root for the Sox is when the Sox are playing a team that is ahead of the Yankees in the standings. Otherwise, no good Yankee fan would root for the Sox - even in this World Series.

    For real Yankee fans, baseball season ended on September 29th. We've moved on to the Giants. Oh, that ain't working out so well. The Bills! That's a train wreck too. J-E-T-S? They did beat the football version of the red sox so it ain't all bad. :wavey:

    I don't care who yankee fans root for, if either team, in this World Series. I just hope that team continues with its aging players, paying so many millions and getting nothing, or almost nothing, out of them, or having free agents think they've made the 'top' and slack off in performance or exaggerate injuries.
