Does God consider what is not "best" as evil or sin?

Does God perhaps present a running scale from best, better, good, mediocre, tainted, sinful, awash in sin, sin filled, wicked, evil?

Perhaps a different set of scale labels?

The Scriptures state: "Whatever is not from faith is sin."

Is that restricted to dietary alone, or does it apply to practical living and every day affairs for both the believer and unbeliever.

How do you present a Holy God who can accept what is not perfect or best, but will accept levels of good?

Or is a Holy God incapable of accepting levels or a scale running from best to worst.

This thread is meant to focus upon Scriptural support of your opinion and not upon opinion, alone.

For instance: Throughout the creation story, it states that God looked at what was done that day as being "good." Then the last day of created work (day 6) He gazed about and apparently was more pleased because there is an added Hebrew word translated "very" before "good."

Is that an indication of God having been more pleased after six days work than He was on any of the other previous days?

Perhaps it is as a person who sits back after completing a complex and difficult job and says, "That's done! Glad the work is over. Time to relax and drink in the tea while my eyes drink in the finished product with pride."

Remember, "Pride goes before the fall." :)

Ok, I am sure by now you get the point of the thread.

    What is your supportable view?

Think for Christians, the Bhema Seat of Christ will be where/when the ord weighs it all out, as some have great eternal rewards, while some of us see them burnt up!
