"Mitch McConnell is a proven conservative who stands strong for Kentucky in the face of President Obama's big government agenda in Washington."

Yes. You nailed it. None other than Randal Howard Paul said (among other things),McConnell is a proven conservative. Now if Rand Paul is the essence of a true Conservative --held by many here on the BB --then he would be capable of identifying other true Conservatives --wouldn't he? McConnell is seen by many here as a liberal --or at least a moderate. Rand Paul is viewed as the Gold Standard Conservative. That presents a conundrum;doesn't it?

It probably means that Paul owed McConnell a favor so he said something nice about him. Sounds like something one would say at a GOP confab.

Since you are not a citizen of Kentucky, never lifted one finger to serve this nation, and spend a lot of your time in countries that are an enemy of the United States, why would anyone care what you think?

That would be true if you weren't talking about a politician, who is capable of saying words that are neither heartfelt, nor truthful, if those words:

    a. get them what they want
    b. fulfill a vow they've made
    c. get them status as the top story of the day
    d. all of the above

You lie with such ease Mike. It comes so naturally to you. And days after typing about an upswing on the forum you post the above drivel. --Very hypocritical of you --but very normal for you. Time for you to evaluate whether you should continue to serve as deacon at your church when you say such trashy things on a public forum.

I posted what Rand Paul said. If you have a problem with it --then take it up with him. He is your idea of a good conservative. But he praised Mitch. You may not like it but it is a fact. Don't spew your venom on me because of your frustration. Get a grip and follow up on your confessions.

Yep, agreed. Rippon, it would be helpful to know when Rand Paul said this. When did he say it and where?

McConnell is the WORST senator since Jesse Helms. What new ideas has he presented? Nothing.

Don't get me confused with Rand Paul. He said it --not me. People here such as Sat/Nep get mixed-up so easily.

Hey Rippon, thanks for answering this for me....Anyway, here is the full quote. It was given in a statement on July 29, 2013:

"Mitch McConnell is a proven conservative who stands strong for Kentucky in the face of President Obama's big government agenda in Washington," Paul said in a statement. "He is a consistent voice against Obamacare and against this administration's war on coal. He has stood up for Kentucky values."

It was said as a blunt against Matt Bevin, a Tea Partier who is running against McConnell in the 2014 Republican primary in Kentucky.

I do not get you mixed up with anyone. Your only intent in starting this thread was to irk me, which you succeeded.

I had seen that in the local news a few days ago. It did knock Rand Paul down a few notches down in my eyes. Just another politician. You put it well, a politician is neither heartfelt or truthful. Why is it so hard just to get honest, decent leadership?

Hmmm... you agree with TNISD and commend him for it. I posted my agreement with him and you trash me for it. Inconsistent to say the least on your part Mike.
