Know that the Holy Spirit used Koine Greek in the NT books, but were any instances where the writers had to use a brand new word, they had to make "new Vocabulary?"

For many years (read centuries), that was a common theory. However, the excavation of secular manuscripts contemporary with the NT proved that theory false.

realsie that some thought they had written in "holy GreeK;', but isn't there certain words coined by say Paul, that were either new to Greek, or else were used only once in scriptures?

I take it you've never had the "arsenokoites" argument with a homosexual.

    Lucky you.

Essentially, their claim is that homosexuality can't really be a sin because arsenokoites doesn't appear anywhere else in scripture and Paul allegedly just made it up because he hated homosexuals.

Well, the Holy Spirit would have inspired him to record the term, and there is also the hebrew witness to that, so their problem is with inspiration itself, as the bible being from God!

The primary candidate for this scenario is theopneustos ("God-breathed") in 2 Tim. 3:16. The possibility exists because: (1) it is a compound word; (2) it exists nowhere else in the NT or outside the NT; (3) it is a theological term.

Other than that, there are a few NT words that exist nowhere else in the NT or other Greek literature, but none of them strike me as being candidates for being "new vocabulary."

Thanks. Very recently, and some things still don't work right.
