Paul often inter-twines 3 different people-types into his writing:
    (1) faithful BACs, (2) unfaithful BACs (habitual sinners), and (3) non-believers.

Perhaps his main reason for this is to very tactfully “hide” his dire warnings to some.
Often, to whom he is directing his rebukes and warnings is somewhat camoflaged.

However, God’s people “who are being led by the Spirit of God” (Rom 8:14, NASB)
should be able to “see” the staggering truths of his teachings.

So, read carefully, use some spiritual discernment, and try to understand.
Here are a few examples of “hidden” Pauline gems:

    Ephesians 4:17-24 & Ephesians 5:1-7 explanation of Paul’s message
If you have actually heard Jesus and been taught by Him, stop walking in the
life of your “old man”, i.e. sinning, but be renewed and put on the “new man”.
Sinners will not inherit the kingdom of God, but will experience the wrath of God
(which is confirmed by John 3:36, Rom 1:18, Col 3:5-6, 1 Thes 5:9, etc.).

    Colossians 3:3-10 … explanation of Paul’s message
Stop sinning … sinners will not inherit the kingdom of God, but the wrath of God
(which is confirmed by John 3:36, Rom 1:18, Eph 5:3-6, 1 Thes 5:9, etc.).

    Philippians 3:12-19 … explanation of Paul’s message
He has not yet been perfected, so he is pressing on toward
attaining Christ’s goal for him (holiness and perfection).
He encourages the believers at Philippi to follow his example.
However, many are focusing on earthly things, and their end will be destruction.

    Romans 8:1-14 … explanation of Paul’s message
Jesus succeeded in condemning sin in the flesh so the righteous requirement
of the law could be fulfilled in believers … who walk according to the Spirit.
Yes, believers have been set free from the law of sin and death, and they are
free and very capable of choosing to walking in a manner acceptable to God.
So, believers who walk according to the Spirit are not condemned.
To be spiritually-minded is life and peace, but to be carnally-minded is death.
If the Holy Spirit is successful in leading you put to death the deeds of the body,
you will live spiritually…for those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

    Romans 6:15-23 … explanation of Paul’s message
Again, they were set free from the bondage of sin, so they are actually free
to become slaves of God, slaves of obedience, and slaves of righteousness!
He tells them to stop sinning, for they are heading towards eternal death.
God’s gift of eternal life is for those who are NOT slaves of sin (which is confirmed
    by 1 Cor 6:9-10; Gal 5:19-21; Eph 5:3-5; Rev 21:7-8, 21:27, 22:14-15, etc.).

    Romans 11:20-22 … explanation of Paul’s message
God rejected His special “chosen people” (the Israelites) because of their unbelief.
God will also reject Christians who do not continue in His goodness, which IMO,
depends on their continuing on in faith (and whatever else true belief demands).

I'm no prophet but I perceive your trolling days are drawing to a close here on the BB. You do not engage in debate and life application of said beliefs. You simply keep on posting the same flawed sermons void of spiritual discernment and ignore all rebukes from Spirit filled men and women here on the BB.

Bye now :wavey: Pray you find the Lord on your road to Damascus.

More of your refusal to deal with Scripture.
More proof of your inability to dicipher Scripture.
More proof you have no idea what Spirit-filled means.
More of your hatred of those against your OSAS doctrine.
    Truly pathetic.

The OP continues on ... with more of the same ...

The Book of Galatians … explanation of Paul’s message
These true BACs (1:6, 3:3, 4:9, 5:7) have turned away from the faith (1:6).
Paul is afraid for them (4:11), so he is laboring for them again
… until Christ (holy & perect) is formed in them (4:19)!!!
Since someone deceived them into attempting to be justified by law
… they have been estranged from Christ, and have fallen from grace (5:4).
Paul instructs them to walk in the Spirit (and not in the flesh)
… because those who are in the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God.
And he continues to warn them …
-- those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh
-- he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption
-- he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life

IMO, the main reason WHY Paul wrote most of his epistles was to warn BACs of losing eternal life!

Yes, Paul’s gospel (Galatians 1:11) does include more than grace-faith.
For example, he gives a lot of warnings to BACs. And to decipher what they
are all about, it helps to extract them from amongst all of his copious words,
blessings, promises, edifications, exhortations, encouragements, etc.
BAC = born-again Christian … Of course, references are available for every point.

    The latest version ...

Galatians … summary of Paul’s warnings
    • These true BACs have turned away to a different gospel (included circumcision).
They desired to be under the OT law. Since Paul is afraid for them, he is laboring
for them again … until Christ (holy and perfect) is formed in them!
    • Since someone deceived them into attempting to be justified by the OT law,
they have now become estranged from Christ, and have fallen from grace.
    • Paul instructs them to be led by the Spirit, to walk in the Spirit, so not to fulfil the
lust of the flesh … those who are in the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God.
    • Those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh.
    • Sowing to the flesh will reap corruption, but sowing to the Spirit will reap everlasting life.

All of Paul's epistles will be similarly explored ... t'will take a few weeks!

The beauty of the Scriptures is God has given us the answer to every question concerning correct doctrine, that we may divide the word of truth rightly, and have no need of humble opinions.

As far as whether or not we can consider anyone a "true bac" John gave us a clear word as to just one way we can evaluate a professing Christian...

1Jo2:19 - "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us."

Actually, Paul's warnings concerning eternal life were not to warn true believers of losing eternal life, but rather to warn believers of those among them who were not true believers in Christ, and to not follow in their path or ways. Most of Paul's letters were to disciple the true believers into a mature walk with Christ, that Christ may be formed in them.

Peter also warned about these men among the church....2Pt2:1 - "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction."

What is interesting about Galatians, and this should cause you to take pause, is that Paul warned these believers that if they should add some works to their justification by grace, then they have fallen from grace. Whatever one decides fallen from grace shall mean, it isn't a good place to be. So those who keep preaching grace plus works equals eternal life need to take heed of Paul's admonition here, it is as Peter said, a "damnable heresy".

Mind-boggling! ... but try to enjoy it anyway ...

are all about, it helps to extract them from amongst all of his copious words,
blessings, promises, edifications, exhortations, encouragements, etc.
The intricacies of Paul’s wording is mind-boggling, and it is very
important to recognize his style of tongue-in-cheek praising!

BAC = born-again Christian … References are easily available for every point below.

Ephesians … summary of Paul’s warnings
    • He was writing “to the saints (the consecrated, set-apart ones) at Ephesus
who are also faithful and loyal and steadfast in Christ Jesus” (1:1, AMP).
But this is not enough … they need to stop sinning and become purified.
In Christ, they were brought “near”, and may He dwell in their hearts!
What, only “near”? And he must mean: may He (continue to) dwell in their hearts!
    • He tells them to stop walking in the life of their sinful “old man”, but instead
have their minds renewed, put on the “new man” (created by God in true right-
eousness and holiness), be filled with the Spirit, and walk as children of light.
(I.e. their new man is actually capable of doing these things.)
    • They are told to understand what the will of the Lord is (which is not specified).
They are called to be holy and without blame, and to do good works,
and to be perfect, measuring up to the stature of the fulness of Christ.
    • The church is to be glorious, not having a spot or wrinkle, holy and without blemish.
    • He says to stop walking as the rest of the Genties walk, and to put off their old man.
    • Sinners will not inherit the kingdom of God, but will experience the wrath of God
    (confirmed by John 3:36, Rom 1:18, Col 3:5-6, 1 Thes 5:9, etc.).
“Do not be deceived, the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience” (5:6).

However, no one here needs to worry ... you are all superior saints to those in Ephesus!

    What is SN?
Amy, the person was referring to my thread in general.
The OP is sadly lacking in details ...
so I am preparing an article with 10-line summaries of each of Paul's epistles.
So far, I'm finding considerable similarity in the warnings.

My intro is evolving ... and it presently stands as:

Title: Does Paul’s gospel include more than grace-faith?

Yes, Paul’s gospel does include more than grace-faith … and the key
is to understand Paul’s writing style and how he presents his warnings.
To decipher what they are all about, it helps to extract them from amongst all of
his copious blessings, promises, edifications, exhortations, encouragements, etc.
    A heads-up: the intricacies of Paul’s wording is mind-boggling!
And it is critical to recognize his style of tongue-in-cheek praising!

BAC = born-again Christian … References are easily available for every point below.

Paul often inter-twines 3 different people-types into his writing:
    (1) faithful BACs, (2) unfaithful BACs (habitual sinners), and (3) non-believers.

should be able to “see” the staggering truths of his teachings.
So, read carefully, use some spiritual discernment, and try to understand.
The truth is in the details, but they are not taught in many pulpits, for they are too unpopular!
Good luck in seeing and believing them!
