Democrats and Republicans. Republicans and Democrats.:BangHead:

I'm so glad that God is God all by Himself.

    Funny and sad.

As your quote points out, there has been a steady move over the past century to separate faith and public life. It’s almost as if society has adopted the Wiccan Rede “an it harm none, do what thou wilt” as its own. Faith is something that becomes private and benign rather than reflective of Christ. Unfortunately private faith does not constitute faith at all - faith is something that we live by, not something to be held in secret so as not to influence others who may come our way. Of course the other side to the unfaithful “religious” is those who would hijack Christianity to serve their own political agenda. Interesting world in which we live.

This first statement sets the premise for all the bovine excrement that follows; IE: not worth reading!

Must not know your audience very well to start out with such an obviously irrational statement.

Aren't those of us who are saved glad that our future doesn't depend on what they do on Capitol Hill but rather what was done on Calvary's Hill?

Why do you have Silverstein in parentheses when Stephen Crane wrote the poem?

My experience has been that realism is normally the first thing to go when discussing politics.
