Psalm 5:4-6

Rom 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

According to Romans 3:12 there is no one who does good, no, not one. So if God hates the workers of iniquity, wouldn't he hate all men in your view?

 

Here's what Gleason L. Archer has written on this passage (as well as Psalm 11:5):

"From such passages as these we learn that God makes a difference between good men and evil men. Evil does not really exist in the abstract (except as a theoretical idea) but only in the evil nature and wicked deeds of ungodly men and the demons of hell. Scripture describes the wicked and immoral as those who love sinners in their defiance of God and in their contempt for His moral law. Thus the prophet Hanani rebuked even good King Jehoshaphat for his alliance with Ahab, saying, 'Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD and so bring wrath on yourself from the LORD?' (2 Chron. 19:2). The apostle John warns in his first Epistle (2:15): 'Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If any one loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.' We do not to love the world as sinners in rebellion against God, lest we become involved in their guilty ways and attitude of mind. Therefore, we are to recognize that only Satan loves sinners in their transgression and opposition to the moral law. God does not love them in that way; rather, He condemns them and punishes them in His capacity as righteous Judge over all the universe.

"There is yet another aspect of God's attitude toward sinners that reflects His unfathomable mercy and matchless grace. He so loved the wicked, sinful world that He gave His only Son, Jesus, to die as an atonement for sin. 'All we like sheep have gone astray,...but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him' (Isa. 53:6). This means that even though God opposes and hates the sinner as a co-worker with Satan and a tool of his malice, God's love reaches out in compassion and grace to all sinners everywhere, seeking to deliver them from sin by the Atonement and the New Birth , and to adopt them as His children in the family of the redeemed. Here, then, we find to our amazement that while God hates and condemns the unrepentant, unconverted sinner, yet His heart reaches out to him in mercy and love--a holy love operating through the Cross, 'that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus' (Rom. 3:26). In other words, God is able to love the one who Him hates; but His hatred is of the sinner in his sin, and His love is for the sinner who repents of his sin and puts his trust in Jesus. Why is this so? Because from the moment he sincerely turns from his wicked way and puts his trust in Jesus, he becomes united with Christ by faith--and the Father cannot hate His Son, or anyone who is a member of His body and a temple of His Holy Spirit."

Psalm 5

1. A Davidic psalm (title)
2. The author pleads for God's attention (1-2)
3. The author prepares in the early before approaching God (3)
4. The author prepares because he knows that God:

a. takes no pleasure in wickedness
b. doesn't dwell with evil
c. doesn't allow the foolish or boastful to stand before him
d. hates evildoers
e. destroys liars
f. abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful​

5. But because of God's hesed love (grace) he can enter God's presence (7)
6. In reverent awe the author bows himself down before him. (7)
7. He asks for direction and pleads not to be drawn astray by the evildoers who are out to get him (8)
8. They are:

a. untruthful
b. destructive
c. their words lead to death (9)​

9. Make the rebellious transgressors pay according to their ways. (10)
10. Those that rejoice in God's presence find protection in him.

Yet future. No unrighteousness shall "stand in his sight".

 

God hates all sinners according to scripture. He also loves the world enough to send His Son as payment for their sin.

 

I interpret Romans 3 as speaking of men in a general sense. Why? Because if you read the scriptures, especially the Old Testament, you will continually see a contrast between the "righteous" and the "wicked".


Psa 7:11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

Psa 11:5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

Psa 34:21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

Psa 37:16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

Psa 37:17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

Psa 37:21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

Psa 37:32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

Now, all men are sinners, but the scriptures show a difference between righteous persons and wicked persons. Righteous persons are sinners, but these are men who do not desire to be evil. They love God and trust in him. They try to do good.

The wicked are altogether different, they utterly reject God and all that is good. They seek to take advantage of the the righteous, they rob him, and kill him, cheat him, and oppress him.

These especially wicked men are whom the Lord hates. These are men who reject God and his grace.

But God loves the sinner who desires to repent and be righteous. God gives all men a chance. It is only when a man repeatedly rejects God and his grace that God rejects him.
